Ein is in front of Aphmau's house. "I can't believe I'm finally able to actually do this. I don't expect forgiveness. I just want to apologize so bad. I won't be able to live with myself if I don't." Ein thinks. He then wills himself to walk toward the house and knocks on the door. "Who is it?" A familiar voice asks. Ein then processes that it's Aphmau's voice. Which was one he didn't expect to hear, but was glad he didn't kill her, nonetheless. He decided not to question how she was even alive. "I'm not sure if you even want to know." Ein responds. "What are you doing here?!" Aphmau asks, full of rage. "I... I wanted to say..." Aphmau then interrupts Ein, saying: "Give me one good reason I shouldn't grab a knife from my kitchen, open that door, and stab you with it in the next ten seconds!" "Okay, I wanted to say, I'm sorry for everything! I wasn't myself! I hadn't been for a very long time!" Ein quickly responds with a depressed tone. "Even if that's true, you and I both know that I can't trust you, after everything." Aphmau responds. "I know... I just wanted to apologize. I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I didn't. I know that no words can undo the damage that I have done. But I at least wanted to try to fix the one thing that I could. Then, at least, I did... something." Ein said before a tear started to fall down his right cheek. Aphmau stays silent, and Ein continues. "If I could change everything that happened, I would. Even if it meant my demise. Maybe the world would be better off without me, even now. I mean, I couldn't even control myself when I needed to. I was just too weak. I wanted to, believe me, I did. But no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't. His hold on me was just too powerful." Ein says. Aphmau then responds. "Wait, did you say "his?"" she asks. "Yes, "his," As in, Michael. I'm sure you probably met him. Considering, that everything still seems the same." Ein responds. "So, you're implying, that this whole time, you were a victim as well?" Aphmau asks. "I don't expect you to believe me. Nor do I expect you to forgive me. I just wanted to apologize. Although, you aren't the only one I wanted to apologize to." Ein says. "If you're referring to Aaron, you can forget it. Even if you are telling the truth; Aaron is in an awful state, and I can't risk it." Aphmau says. "Yeah, I understand. I'm sorry for taking up your time." Ein says. Aphmau stays silent, and Ein takes his leave.
Ein starts walking down the street. Then, he remembers that he has more people to apologize to. So, he walks up to Garroth, Zane, and Laurance's house, and knocks on the door. "Hello? I didn't expect anyone to be coming today." A male voice, that Ein has never heard before, responds. "Um, hey, are Garroth and Zane here?" Ein asks. "Why are you concerned with that?" He asks. "I wanted to apologize for something that I've done in the past." Ein responds. "And you are?" He asks. "Ein." Ein responds. "Well, my name is Laurance. So, what did you do?" Laurance asks. "Horrible things." Ein responds. "Well, it's in the past right?" Laurance asks. "Yeah..." Ein responds. "Anyway, ARE Garroth and Zane home?" Ein asks. "Not yet, but if you want, you can wait on the porch for them." Laurance says. "Okay, thanks... Laurance." Ein says. "No problem." Laurance says. Then, Ein leans against a wall, and waits.
Zane and Garroth get home and notice Ein. Then, Zane says "You!" with rage in his voice. However, Garroth remained silent, because he was in shock. "Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait!" Ein says quickly, then continues: "Before you beat me to a pulp. Even though, I deserve it. I wanted to say... I'm sorry." "Sorry? Sorry?! Blue should know that his actions go far beyond sorry!" Zane exclaims. "I know! I know!" Ein yells, then he continues. "I know that no words can fix what I've done. I know that nothing that I say can bring back anyone that has died because of me." While he said that, he seemed to devolve into crying. He then composed himself and said: "I know you guys don't want me to be here. I just wanted to say, "I'm sorry." That's all I came here for." Ein then started walking away. "I would say bye, but there's no real need for me to. Since you more than likely won't be seeing me again. After today, at least." He then continues walking back onto the main road, past Zane and Garroth. "You're lucky yellow would hold me back if I attacked you, to prevent me from making a scene." Zane says. "I wonder why he's calling me and his brother colors. Probably a traumatic experience that is none of my concern." Ein thinks as he continues walking. "Two more people, as far as I know." Ein thinks again.
Ein approaches Nana and Katelyn's house and knocks on the door. "Who is it?" A rather deep female voice that Ein doesn't really recognize, asks. "I don't think you're gonna like who." Ein says. "Oh, come on, I don't have that many enemies." Katelyn says before she looks through the peep hole. Then, she swings the door open violently, and says "YOU!" as she grabs his jacket tightly with both hands. "I've been waiting to do this for a long time." Katelyn says. "Do what you need to. That's the exact reason I'm here. To try and fix my mistakes. And say, at least, that... I'm sorry." Ein says as he closes his eyes, lowers his head, and puts both of his arms out at ninety-degree angles. "Are you serious? After everything you did to Aphmau in high school! Not to mention, what you did last year, and just a few mere weeks ago!" Katelyn says angrily. "Are you trying to tell me you suddenly had a change of heart?" Katelyn asks. "No, something was given back to me. Something that I hadn't had for a very long time. And that was... control." Ein says. Katelyn seems to think about that response. "So, are you trying to tell me, that you were a victim to Michael as well?" Katelyn asks. Ein nods solemnly. "How do I know I can trust you?" Katelyn asks. "You don't, which is why I'm leaving." Ein responds. Katelyn then lets go of his jacket, and says. "Even though I don't trust you, I'll let you go, for now. But, if you ever hurt my friends again, I will find you, and I will kill you." Katelyn says. "Understood." Ein says, before walking away. "Just one more person." Ein thinks.
Ein knocks on the door to Lucinda's house. Suddenly, he feels like he's choking, and Lucinda comes out of the door. "I had a feeling you'd come back, again! However, something feels different. You're probably just using more forbidden spells on me!" Lucinda says. Ein would barely say the words "I'm sorry." through his choking... ""Sorry?" Okay, I gotta hear this!" she says as she releases her magic's hold on Ein. Ein falls to the ground and coughs, as he starts to regain his ability to speak. "That's all I came here to say. Even if it meant my death. It wouldn't really have mattered much, anyway. My life was already taken away from me a long time ago." Ein says. "You think you can just come here with some stupid speech and manipulation-" Ein cuts Lucinda off. "-IF I WANTED TO MANIPULATE YOU, DON'T YOU THINK I WOULD HAVE THROWN ONE OF THOSE LIFE-RUINING POTIONS AT YOU?!" Ein said before breaking down into a sob. "The same one that took my opportunity at life away from me, and turned all my potential friends into my enemies, because I was too weak to fight it." Ein said while his sobs were still audible in his speech patterns. Ein eventually composes himself and Lucinda stays silent. "Anyway, you don't have to worry about me doing anything awful to you or your friends anymore. I'm going somewhere far away from here." Ein says. "You better be telling the truth or-" Lucinda starts to say before Ein interrupts her. "-you'll hunt me down and kill me. Yeah, yeah... Apparently there would be a line." Ein says. Then, he starts to walk off into the distance. He doesn't know where he's going. He just knows that he's going somewhere far away from this place... He did have one other person that he wanted to apologize to, but he doesn't know where they are. So, he just continues walking to... who knows where?
