"Guess what?" Luke called out excitedly as soon as she'd walked in the door.
"What is it, sweetheart?" Cat asked expectantly.
"You said it's my birthday and I get to do whatever I want and have anything I desire. So I've decided we're going to the beach," He exclaimed and subtly herded her to her room.
"What?"
"Yeah. Hurry up and pack Mom. Dad already asked Mrs. P and we'll pick Mia on the way up. Dad is already loading Hannah in the car."
He rushed out after spewing all that information in one go.
Wow. This was news to her. It had been a crazy time as she remembered how for the past few days she'd run around trying to gather clues. She'd been able to hand Eric her previous case files as she felt it was time. Time for a change and time to begin the next phase of her life.
