For the next few days, Alex and Cat took turns nursing Luke back to health. She couldn't sleep much and even if she did it was only to wake up screaming. Sometimes her dreams were so vivid and real that she called out for Luke covered in sweat and tears and other times she couldn't remember a thing. But she was always back in that dank, dark room where she'd been imprisoned. Sometimes she could hear the deep, familiar voice that had taken her torture Luke and blackmail her to do his bidding.
Not finding it worth the aggravation, Alex watched over them both as they slept together wrapped in each other's arms.
"Cat, Luke's all better now. You don't have to stand vigilant over his bed every hour. Look, Mia's with him now and he seems so happy," Alex led her to the stairway and cornered her near the railing.
"I can't rest until he's back to normal, Alex. You don't understand-" Cat pleaded as he interrupted her.
