"You'll have to be more careful than that, Cat. Our son is very observant and sensitive. You don't want him to read the wrong things in these situations, do you?" Alex intoned covertly.
"What the hell does that mean?" Cat asked totally lost with where he was going with his line of absurd questioning.
"Don't pretend to not know what I'm asking," Alex growled.
"I know you have these seemingly sane phases wherein you run your business and handle day-to-day life but you've totally lost me," Her eyes widened and seemingly unfettered by Alex's yet another tantrum she decided to give him the benefit of the don't.
A disbelieving half-grin graced his features as Alex elaborated, "You know what Cat? Sometimes you amaze me."
