Suddenly they weren't talking about the project. Alex knew that he was telling her more than he wanted to. He couldn't pull her into this clusterfuck of a mess. Burying his thoughts and feelings inside, he mocked her, "What's the matter? Don't think you know me better than anyone anymore? Are you so willing to defend an evil corporation that you're ready to compromise on your job, your principles?"
"This isn't about me, but I didn't know you were into self-flagellation," She sassed back.
"Damn you."
"No, damn you, Alex. Who the hell do you think I am? Don't try your mocking, indifferent act with me. I won't be belittled, by your arrogant jerk façade or be hypnotized by your charm. You don't fool me. I know I'm right about this, now why-"
"I don't care what you think you know. Don't interfere in matters you know nothing about. It's my bloody company and my fucking contract," he railed at her finally having had enough of this dangerous conversation.
