"Are you really telling the truth?" Luke asked in a low whisper as if afraid of any other possibility.
Alex eyed Max as the older man nodded his approval, "Yes, son. Now don't worry about your mother-"
"She's not. She's not my anything," Luke mouthed off.
"Son, this is not the way you will talk about her. Or to her. Ever," Alex stressed out.
"Or what? I don't care," Luke smirked at him.
For a moment it was like Alex had been transported back to his own childhood as his mirror image defied him, "Oh you don't want to find out. Trust me on that," Alex smirked back.
"Let's all take a second and son, listen to what your father has to say, okay?" Max interrupted the stare off going on between them.
Alex looked menacingly at Max and warned him not to interfere again. The old man nodded in understanding as Luke spoke rudely taking back his attention.
