Cat ran out to the courtyard where the remains of carnage spilled out. She could still hear the sounds of battle raging around her. Finding an abandoned semi-automatic on the ground she checked the almost full clip. She frantically ran towards the exit where she found Cam trying to subdue her son as Alex lay bleeding on the ground.
"I keep my promises, Knight. Have a good life," Cat heard Cam shout a few feet away from her.
He fired a shot from his Smith & Wesson .40 in her direction at the same time she did. Taking cover behind a willow tree in the middle of the courtyard she fired off a few more shots.
"You're not taking my son again, Cameron Navarr," She shouted as Cameron ducked behind a car on the driveway.
"Watch me, Catrina. Now, why don't you be a good little girl and come out of your hiding spot?" Cam taunted.
"So that you can kill us all? No thanks," She told him.
