Cat opened her eyes and all she could see was darkness. She lay on the ground as mind-numbing panic set in. Fearing that she was back again in Cam's grasp she looked around desperately trying to get her bearings but her hazy vision and pumping adrenaline didn't let her focus. Taking a deep breath she sat up and rubbed at her sore head and neck. She tried to regulate her breaths and made out a few shapes and sizes in the darkness. Her head hurt and there was a ticking pain in her jaw as if a freight train rushed through her skull at regular intervals.
"Welcome back Ms. Banning," And there it was. The voice of her nightmares.
She sucked in her breath and stood up to see someone standing in the shadows. As the door to the room opened, light spilled in from the outside, "Cam," Cat whispered.
"Who else were you expecting?" The devil laughed snidely.
"I should have known," Cat murmured.
