Cat woke up the next morning accompanied by an orchestra banging around in her head. She felt like she'd been run over by a Mack truck. Her mouth felt cottony and disgusting. She groaned and set her feet on the ground when she slit her eyes open to notice the room tilting. She closed her eyes and clutched her head in pain.
Never again.
How much had she drunk last night? She'd been feeling sorry for herself. What with her life in flux, she figured it didn't matter if she lived it up with some alcohol. The plan sure backfired when instead of waiting up for Luke and Alex to get back home she ended up drinking herself into a stupor. She was still waiting for some explanation from either not going to school and totally stressed about the talk pending with Alex about their future.
