Having no choice, they ate what was the remaining of their food in the basket. It was not as if they would die of starvation for one night.
"I'm sorry for putting you in this situation." He apologized again as he gestured to their surrounding that was not exactly ideal for them to stay in, but it would have to do for now.
"That's ok." She did not want to blame him anymore since she realized that he did not plan this to happen. It was a misfortune that their vehicle broke down on them and there was no way for them to call for help.
If she had another way, she would not want to spend one more minute in this old house, but there was no other option. She would just have to bear with it, besides, she still got what she wished for.
