Quinn walked behind his home. The palace or the demon emperor was far larger than any other building in the entire capital city.
In Quinns entire four years of life he'd never seen any building larger. Quinn had learned over time that his new world had made certain technological advances while negating others, such as cars. In Quinns old world cars were frequent and often easily accessible, but in his new world while cars did exist they aren't as common and run on magic power. in fact its most commonly found among royalty or nobility. And while his old world had gun, swords were the main weapons here, though Quinn had heard once about a thing called a magi- gun which he imagines is just a gun that shoots out your magical power.
Quinn had also learned that each person in the demon kingdom has a specific elemental aptitude when it comes to magic. The higher a persons aptitude the greater the strength of the spells they can cast using that element. In Quinns case he had a high aptitude for fire and darkness magic, this made Quinn a destruction mage. Each mage is placed into one of three categories, either destruction, support, or all rounder. The names are pretty self-explanatory, destruction class mages having high damage attack spells as well as close combat spells and techniques, while support class mages have long range attack spells and healing spells and techniques making them an invaluable asset to any army, All rounders have a mixture of both classes which was fairly common as most people try to get skills that are useful for group combat.
Quinn was probably the youngest person in the history of the demon kingdom to ever be named as a destruction class mage. Like wise Quinns twin brother was a support class mage specializing in healing and water magic Quinns complete opposite.
Quinn looked around making sure no one was watching before closing his eyes and accessing his system. Quinn hadn't placed any of his soul points in any of his systems functions yet so hed never summoned Fenrir. He done this on purpose of course, figuring it'd be odd to see a three month old summon a god eating giant wolf.
Taking a deep breath Quinn looked at the summon option for which his proficiency was at zero. Focusing he inserted 100 soul points into it and the option labeled mana, maxing both of them out.
Quinn knew that having never preformed magic, he had very little chance of actually summoning Fenrir, but he wanted to at least try.
' But what do i do to get started.' Quinn thought.
He prepared everything perfectly, timing out when his father and mother would be to busy to try and find him, giving his brother a task he knew would take a while, and finding a place where his instructor and the castle staff wouldn't look for him. And through all that meticulous planning he'd forgotten the most important part of it all. Figuring out how to preform the spell. ' you wanna tell me how to summon Rena?' Quinn ask the system.
He'd named the system after his old childhood friend, she'd done a lot for him before she died of cancer.

Quinn groaned at how computer like Rena sounded even though he had her copy his old childhood friends voice and vocal patterns.
Quinn closed his eyes trying to picture the lesson. He remembered his instructor saying the best way for a mage to cast a spell is for them to visualize and feel the flow of mana, after that it was as simple as casting the spell.
Quinn tried visualizing what Fenrir would look like. He imagined a large black wolf with yellow eyes and sharp fangs. After he imagined the mana flow going towards his hands and he began to weave several signs in the air. He didn't know why but the movements felt right. After Quinn had finished the signs he felt like part of his energy had been sucked out but nothing happened.
Quinn looked around trying to see if anything changed but it seemed only he was there. The realization that the summoning fail disappointed Quinn but he knew it was a long shot to begin with.
As Quinn was leaving his hiding place he noticed his shadow wasn't moving with him, but was expanding as his shadow expanded a low growl could be heard. Then suddenly as if out of nowhere a large shadow launched out of his.
As it landed Quinn found himself staring into three large pairs of crimson red eyes. " Who would dare summon me!" the shadow said in a deep loud voice that seemed to make the castle rumble.
Quinn knew immediately that this was Fenrir and to make matters worse he also knew everyone in the castle had heard and could see the god eating wolf.
" Well so much for subtle. This just got complicated."
