A pair of eyes opened wide slowly. She looked around her. She was also looking for the whereabouts of someone nearby.
"Harry..."
"Yes, honey. I was here."
After the sun had shone hotter that day, Harry had managed to bring Cleo back to their home after getting permission from the hospital.
He has known. He should have waited until Cleo woke up and then brought her home. But, the guilt and feeling of discomfort seeing Cleo forced to lie in a hospital bed, made his heartache.
Eventually, he also ignored Sofia's protests and her suggestion to stay for a while, until Cleo felt much better.
Harry's selfishness and stubbornness conquered anything.
"I'm with you, honey. So don't fret."
Harry deliberately made room for Cleo to sleep more comfortably by not disturbing her space on the bed.
He chose to sit on the chair beside Cleo's bed. And touch her hand.
"How do you feel? Are you feeling much better?"
