Like a dark cloud that passes along and eventually dissipate, the air of misunderstanding between Edmond and Amy had been cleared. Regrets have been forgotten and forgiveness was not necessary anymore. The dark chapter has been closed and a new one will be opened.
After their serious car talk, the mood returned to excitement. It was meant to be that way from the start. This trip was about to be a starting over between the two of them and not rekindling the ugly past but since the past has been haunting them both like a ghost, it was good that it had some closure.
