I told my family about the lightning that struck me after running from my ex's house. Then I told them about the Gods. I spilled my guts about everything.
"So what do you guys think?" I asked and nervously waited for their answer.
"I think…" my dad started
"This better not be your way of saying you're doing drugs" mom said
"Pfft. No" I said
My dad got up and said "I believe you."
I was surprised and asked "Why? How?"
"I may not understand everything you told us but I believe in you." He said
"Us to" my siblings said
"If you guys say so" my mom said "That would explain the eyes and hair...in a way."
"Thats because of Zeus's lightning strike.But, in a few minutes I have to go back so I'll tell you next time" I said sadly
My mom hugged me and everyone else soon gathered together. "It'll be okay"
I cried "I don't want to go back. I want to stay here"
"You can always come back. We will wait for you" my dad said
"FIVE MINUTES REMAINING"
"I've only got five minutes left" I told my family
"Then wipe those tears away and get ready to face those jerks" my sister said
"And kick their butts if they're being mean to you" my brother said
I nodded and saw my surroundings start to disappear. The tunnel came into view and I was back.
"You said that you'll answer any questions I have, right?"
"THAT IS CORRECT"
"Then let's get comfortable because I have many questions"
I sat in the chair in the middle of the library.
"How did the original God of Love die?" I asked
"THE OTHER GODS KILLED HIM"
"I thought so" I muttered "Why did they kill him?"
THE OTHER GOD SAW HIM AS A MUCH TOO POWERFUL ENEMY. MANY EVEN HAVE GRUDGES AGAINST HIM."
"Why? And how was he so powerful? Aren't I the weakest?" I asked
"AS ALA SAID BEFORE, YOU MUST GAIN MANY FOLLOWERS TO GAIN POWER. THE PAST GOD WORKED HARD FOR HIS FOLLOWERS BUT AFTER HIS DEATH, THE OTHER GODS CONVINCED THEM TO FOLLOW THEM INSTEAD"
"So when I am starting from nothing because of them" I said "Aren't there other Gods of Love? Why haven't they done anything?"
"THERE ARE SEVERAL GODS WHO SHARE THE SAME POWER BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD OF LOVE. ONE HEART MEANS ONE CONTROLLER"
"So, I really am all by myself in this" I said "I really have my work cut out for myself. Can you tell me about these powers? How can I know what powers I have?"
A screen popped up in front of me with scribbles that I couldn't understand.
"THIS WILL SHOW ALL YOUR POWERS"
"I can't understand any of this," I said as I tapped the screen.
"YOU MAY CHANGE THE LANGUAGE AND HOW IT IS PORTRAYED"
I smiled "It's a good thing I played a few pvp games before dying"
I changed the language to English. Even then, I still couldn't understand it. I created levels to show how powerful everyone was. Then I made a spot for all of my skills. I also went ahead and made a health and stamina bar. *I'm not sure if I'll use it but just in case.*
*This is starting to feel like a video game*
I tapped on my skills and saw...nothing. Absolutely, nothing!
"Why don't I have any skills?" I asked
"YOU CURRENTLY HAVE ZERO FOLLOWERS"
I sighed and added a spot to show how many followers I have. 'Zero followers'
"Such a sad number" I said "by the way, who are you?"
"I AM HERE TO-"
I waved them off and said "I understand that. I want to know why. What's your name?"
"I DON'T HAVE A NAME. I AM SIMPLY HERE FOR YOUR SAFETY"
I scratched my head and said "It's kinda awkward if i have nothing to call you. Can I give you a name myself?"
"IF YOU WOULD LIKE"
"I think I'll call you...Carr. Because you sound so robotic" I said
"THEN, FROM NOW ON. I AM CARR"
"Well then Carr, want to gain some followers with me?"
"OF COURSE"
