He grabbed beneath my knees and lifts me up, placing me over the desk next to us and my legs were around his hips. I felt his hands travel over my sides, down my back and pushes me even closer against him. He started to kiss my neck, down to my shoulder when we heard knocking on the closed door and we both froze.
"Hey Kimmie, are you in here?" mom asked and i heard the door knob starting to move, and i quickly stare at Keiran whos letting go of me and hand gesturing towards me to be quiet, as he snaps his fingers and disappears.
-"Y-Yeah I'm in here, mom. I was looking around and must have spaced a little." I lied and had quickly fixed my clothes and hopped down on the floor. I grab a hairband and is putting it in a ponytail when she finally opened the door and slowly peaked inside. She walks in and sits me down on the stool, and picks up the brush and softly is pushing it through my hair, brushing it. then she braids it for me and kissed me softly on my head.
"The meeting with Keiran was quite quick, I only needed to speak with him about you and the progress, he wanted to know that everything.." She explained and walks out of the room with me and now shows me the huge kitchen she has. I looked at the big counter and all the space she had, and were so surprised, I mean she lived here alone then why did she have such a big place?"
Diana prepared dinner for us and I kept her company, I watched her place down three plates and I must have looked extremely confused but she humbly giggled and placed the dish between the plates so we can self serve ourselves.
"This is for your stepbrother. I adopted him, not so long ago. Maybe it was five years ago this year." she said in thought. "Anyway. I'm just going to call him down for supper. Leon, dinner!" she yelled towards the staircase, and I heard a door opening upstairs and then shuffling down the stairs. I sat down in front of one of the plates.
A longhaired guy with light hair and a side cut came down, he had piercings and looked a bit like a mix of punk and goth with the way he dressed, he even had makeup on around his eyes.
"Hey." he said to her and then looked at me and sat down next to me. "So your the infamous missing daughter, then?" he said towards me, and I nodded, looking over at my mom.
-"Well, I'm Leo, your Kim right?" he asked and put out his hand to shake mine, and I did the same.
-"Yeah, nice to meet you Leo" I smiled towards him and he gave me a soft smile back. Mom looked a bit relieved that we were going along well, she must have been worried that we wouldn't.
"So let me introduce myself a bit, and a little about me then, to lighten this awkward mood. I'm an Aquarius, I'm 23 and I work at the music store down in town. I like animals, I tend to blast metal and rock music from time to time and I play guitar and write songs. My brother is also Keiran." he said and had his hand on his collarbone as he was giving his little introduction. "Your turn." he said and held it pointing at me.
-"I'm the only kid at least what I know of with my parents, so no siblings. I'm 20 in a few months and I have a pet kitty I named Missy, she's in the attic. I don't mind music, I listen to most genres but as long as my cat don't get to scared by the loud music I doubt it will be an issue. I'm a quiet, and simple girl, don't really like drama but lately it seems like its all I get but anyway, if you want to know anything else then just ask"
I said and he nods and was eating as I was telling him my introduction. He smiled a bit and pointed upstairs.
"I have a dog, but his the calmest dog I've ever met." He said and smiled again. I nod and then recalled what he said. "wait, you're Keiran's real brother then? How come your here, if I may ask?" I said and began to dig in as well.
-"Well, there was a lot of complications and shit that went down back then, so he made a deal with your mom to take me in and help me out, and he would find you, basically. Win, win in my opinion. I was not the greatest kid when I arrived perhaps, a lot of hassle for Diana but she taught me a lot as well, I calmed down and realized that I'm better of here than where I was."
Diana smiled towards us and listened mostly. I nodded and understood what he meant and drank my glass of water before I continued. "That sounds nice, actually. I hope we can get along as well, I don't mean to come here to start any trouble between either you and mom or between us Leo. Hopefully we can become friends." I said and his expression lit up a bit.
-"yeah exactly! Fuck this was a good day to start isn't it?" he said and chuckled, meanwhile mom sighed. "Leon, language." and he excused himself.
"Oh, sorry mom. I keep forgetting. You know what? I'm in a good mood today, I'll do the dishes." he said and got up, taking our empty plates and doing it right away. Mom actually looked surprised, but she laughed and shook her head a little.
"Thank you, sweetie." she said and then lifted away the leftover food and placed it in containers in the fridge.
"Hey Leon, a question." I said and he turned halfway, still with his body facing the dishes but looking back at me. "Yeah sis?" he said and I scoffed, smiling. "Anyway, could I walk your dog? I want to go down to town, and given what you said before I'm guessing you basically just woke up?" he lifted his eyebrows a bit, noticing I was reading him pretty well for meeting him for the first time.
"Yeah sure, I have the collar and leash in the hallway, go and get Loki upstairs. My room is the one furthest in to the right." I nodded and went upstairs and into the room he said, and it was a typical metalhead boy room in there, smelling a bit closed off so maybe he needs an open window or such but anyway, a big husky dog got up and walked over to me.
He was smelling my hand and then sat down looking at me. I squatted down in front of him and gave him some pats on his head.
"Hey Loki, lets go out for a walk, shall we?" I said and he barked and ran down the hallway and down the stairs. "Well then, I guess he knew what I said." I said jokingly and follows him and finds him sitting by the door, holding the end of the leash in his mouth. the other end was still hanging on the hanger. Leo walks over to look at him and he laughs.
"Seriously? He actually listened to you? Damn, you're the animal whisperer Kim. He don't listen to no one, ever. His been a real hustle." he then shrugged and went back into the kitchen, and I looked at Loki again and put the collar on him and grabbed a few spare doggo-bags I tied to the leash, and goes out with him.
We walked a long round, down to town, through the woods and then rounded of towards the playground and back into town then home. we must have been gone for at least two hours at this rate.
