Chapter 1 - Awakening

In an empty dark cave with the entrance covered by vines, an event that will change the world course happened.

'Darkness' His thoughts started to emerge.

'The only thing that I see. I can't breath or feel the temperature but I feel my body.'

'I can't hear or smell anything, I wonder if this is the death.' He guessed.

'My name is Erik, a man with 18 years old. My mom died of a virus when I was little and my father took care of me. I was a student that liked to play games, principally with undead and demons where unfortunately almost all games of this genre don't have them as playable characters, but as enemies that I need to defeat to survive or save the world.'

'The last thing that I remember was going to sleep. It doesn't make sense, how I died? I was only sleeping. I was completely healthy, going to sleep after playing some games.' He was confused.

'Damn it, I have three games that I didn't finish. And what about my father?'

Erik started to pay more attention to himself and realized 'That is strange, the only thing that I can do now is feel my body but without any of my senses, completely strange, maybe I can move in this darkness?'

In the deepest place of the empty cave, the ground begins to shake and a black skeleton starts to appear from the ground until standing. He looked around him and stopped when he saw his hand, he froze for many seconds and his body started to shake, his skull's mouth opening and closing apparently trying to say something.

'What's that! Why is my hand made of bones? Or better...'

Erik stopped and looked at his entire body, his head or skull spinning around his neck and his body shaking more and more, until he finally stopped and looked at the ceiling and raised both of his index fingers threading in his two eyes.

'What fu*k. I like undead but I didn't want to become one! Oh, maybe if I sleep again all of this will disappear and I will come back to my bed. It's only a dream, just a dream' Erik was desperate with what he became and lost his basic reasoning.

Erik lay down and started to try to sleep.

On the top of a tower that reaches the sky. An old man looking full of life with short white hair and blue eyes, was wearing a cyan cloak with brilliant symbols. He was looking at a beautiful blue moon lighting up the night, overshadowing the stars.

The old man said "The grand goddess said that the one who will bring the apocalypse to this world was born today on this continent. Is the end of the day and no anomaly or disaster happened yet. The goddess never was wrong before, we need to search for every strange event and uncommon things everywhere in the continent, we can't leave anything out." He turned and said.

"Cassius."

A middle aged man got down from the dark sky in front of him, he was 2 and a half meters tall and was wearing a shining golden armor covering his entire body except his head showing his long blond hair and his golden eyes that exhaled a sense that could burn anything he looked at.

Cassius said "I heard what you said 'lord full moon'" He said sarcastically.

"You called only to talk about an apocalypse that didn't come yet being that we already have enough problems dealing with demons. If you have problems, solve by yourself I have my apocalypse to deal with." He stopped talking and frowned after remembering something.

"Your Church can command my guards of this continent to help your search, but don't interfere too much with the guards' work." He turned and flew away, disappearing.

After Cassius leaves the old man thought to himself 'He remains foolish.' The old man shook his head and started to look at the blue moon again.
