In the morning serai woke up still sad about Issa. She stayed in her room till her mom came in
"Hunny Lunars here to see you,"
"What are you doing here?" Serai asked,
"well, you didn't come to the clearing, and I was worried about you." he admitted softly almost a whisper.
"Thanks for coming she was kinda down" Leesa whispered in Lunar's ear. Lunar nodded and sat down next to her.
"Are you ok?" He asked,
"yea I just miss someone," Serai leaned on Lunars shoulder.
"What happened to them?" He asked putting his arm around her.
"She had to move to move to New York," Serai said.
"Oh is she your sister?" he asked,
"no, she's one of my friends," Serai answered. After that Lunar brightened Serai up with jokes and funny faces. They laughed for a while till Serai's mom came in.
"Lunch is ready. Do you want to eat with us Lunar?" Leesa asked,
"why not," he said with a smile. Serai was happy that Lunar was staying, she felt better already. They went to the table in the living room, and Serai and Lunar sat down as Leesa got the food ready. After they all ate they sat at the table talking to each other.
"Thank you miss Leesa that was great,"
"oh, no problem. I'm glad you liked it" Leesa told Lunar.
"Mom, can I spend the night with lunar and his family?" Serai asked.
"They want to meet me" she added. Leesa thought for a while,
"fine, but you have to be back by lunch tomorrow," she answered.
"Yay, thank you so much!" Serai said excitedly. After a bit, Serai packed her bag and headed to Lunar's place in the woods. By the time they got to his there, it was almost dinner time.
"Welcome Serai!" said Moon.
"We are delighted to have you here!" he said.
"You must be Serai I've heard so many wonderful things about you," stated a beautiful tall lady, with dark brown hair and stunning light green eyes.
"Yes I'm Serai, and who are you?" Serai asked,
"I'm Ive, Lunars mom." Ivy introduced herself. "Wait till your sister hears that Serai is here, she's been waiting to meet her"
"We should probably tell her," stated Moon.
"Right," lunar answered,
"Rose, Serai's here!" Lunar yelled, and before Serai could even think, she could see a tall young girl with light brown hair running towards her.
"Oh my god, Serai! I've been waiting to meet you, I've heard so much about you how long are you staying, can I show you around? when will you come back?" Serai felt almost overwhelmed with all the things the girl had asked.
"U-um" Serai stuttered, not knowing what to say.
"Don't overwhelm her Rose" Lunar told his sister. "And I will be showing her around," he said, putting his hand on Serai's shoulder
"come on, I'll show you around," Lunar said as he led her to the mountainside of the forest.
"Make sure you come home in time for dinner!" Ivy yelled.
"Ok, mom!"
After a while of talking and laughing they arrived at a beautiful cave in the mountain. Ivy and grapevines were lining the edge of the entrance of the cave.
"It's gorgeous!" Serai breathed in aw.
"I know, it was one of the first places that my mother took me and my sister,"
"let's go in," he told Serai. As they walked in serai noticed that she was surrounded by stunning glowing crystals of all sorts of colors such as blue, red, green, and purple. the glowing crystals lit up the dark cave, and let the way. Serai let out a sigh of disbelief.
"Wow, it's so...gorgeous," she said in awe.
"I know, I love it here," Lunar replied, smiling at Serai's reaction. As they walked forward, they came to a small circular cave with two tunnels each with different color crystals lining the edges, and walls of the tunnels. In one cave they were red crystals, and in the other were blue crystals. As soon as Serai got into the small cave she felt drawn to the red tunnel, almost like it was calling her, telling her to go to it. When she was almost to the tunnel she felt something pull her back. When she looked behind her, she saw Lunar pulling her back with fear in his eyes.
"Stop! don't go there!" He yelled. Serai looked at him with confusion,
"w-why not?" she asked.
"That's the forbidden tunnel."
"Why is it forbidden?" Serai asked.
"Cause everyone that goes in thinks that they spend only an hour or so but they actually spend days, weeks, YEARS, or sometimes, they never come out," he said.
"Sorry! I didn't know!" Serai apologized.
"it's ok," he said. They sat in the small cave and talked for a while till rose come to tell them that dinner was ready. As they walked back, Serai took the opportunity to get to know lunars sister better, it turns out, that Lunar told Rose about Serai the day they met, and Rose has been wanting to meet her ever since. By the time they got to the camp, they could see the moon in the sky lighting up the camp.
"What's for dinner?" Rose asked.
"just some fruit and Hunny that the last patrol gathered up!" Ive said, scooping the fruit into smooth boul shaped rocks and giving it out to the other elf's.
"go sit down, Rose will show you where and I'll bring us some food," Lunar said to Serai,
"ok."
"Come this way," Rose took Serais hand and led her to a large boulder surrounded by smaller rocks.
"This is where we eat," she said as she leaned in to sit on one of the smaller boulders.
"So where did you meat Luner? where did you guys first meet up? why didn't you run from him? I mean he is an elf and your a human. Don't you think it's kinda weird?"
Serai didn't know what to say. 'why does she ask so many things at once' Serai thought to herself.
"Sorry if I'm being a little pushy, it's just Lunar never brought in a human before, he hates them and usually tries to stay away from them," she stated,
"especially after the incident", she spoke almost in a whisper.
"Hu, what incident?" Serai asked,
"what, he didn't tell you?" Rose asked.
"No," answered Serai
"well a couple of years ago we had a sister named Violet and she was playing in the field and some hunters saw her and caught her, we heard her scream and ran towards the noise but we were too late, they took her. And ever since then he thought that all humans were bad and I tried to tell him that there were good humans too, but he didn't want to listen. So I was surprised when he told me about you."
"wow, I didn't know, that" Serai felt kinda bad.
"Yeah, you're really special to him you know," Rose said with a grin.
"Here he comes, don't tell him I told you that ok," Rose stated
"hears the food!" Lunar gave everyone a bowl.
"And I brought some friends I wanted you to meet Serai," he said pointing at two young men behind him, one with short golden hair and the other with short shiny dark brown hair.
"This is Birk" pointing to the brown-haired one,
"Hi nice to meet you,"
"Nice to meet you too," Serai recognized him. 'He's the elf I bumped into a few days ago!' she realized.
"And this is Aster" pointing to the golden-haired one
"pleasure to meet you miss Serai," he said shaking her hand.
"You to Aster," she said shaking his hand. They all hanged out and talked, and got to know each other till the moon was slightly past the middle of the sky. Then Rose, Aster, and Berk went to bed but Serai and Lunar stade up looking at the stars and giggling for most of the night before they went to their tent to sleep.
