They were indeed still small children of ten or eleven years old. They are both in the fifth grade of elementary school. What makes them even closer is their love for Japanese cartoons or anime.
"Ryu, we'll go to middle school together, okay?" whispered Annalia while they were sipping ice-cold in front of Ryu's house.
"Okay. I'll pick you up later. It's just…" Ryu said a little glumly.
"Why are you sad? We're friends and if a kid dares to bother you, tell me. You know I'm good at self-defense." Anna giggled bragging about her skills.
Ryu just nodded in agreement then smiled brightly at Anna. For some reason, Ryu feels very lucky to have met a girl who has the same hobby as him. Previously, Ryu didn't have many friends due to his unique parental background.
