"You can't do this to me, George. we both know you can't let me go " Winnie yelled.
She had received a call from her lawyer telling her about a divorce appeal by her husband.
Chris's mother was shocked to see her husband make such a decision. Divorce? no matter how many bad things she did, he had never thought of such but now he was.
Jack and Chris had taken him back home, changing all the maids that were under her & bringing new ones.
She had heard everything from her fired maids, driving to the mansion Winnie parked her car in a hurry and ran inside.
George Huntsman was in his room resting. She ignored her two sons with their guests and strode upstairs.
"We had agreed that you would have my back no matter what " she barked.
He looked up from his bed she pulled back seeing the tears in his eyes.
"I did have your back but what did you do in return? Pushed me down the stairs and watched me bleed in pain " he said.
"But....but....you...you made a promise " she moved to the bed. He moved back avoiding her touch.
"Yes I did Winnie, but you made me break it. I have been giving you chances to change but you never looked back to even think if what you were doing was right anymore " he said.
Chris and Jack walked in stopping midway through the door.
"You hurt our children, hurt me and all those people who tried to love and care for us. Do you even know how much you hurt Jack when you pushed me down those stairs or how much Chris has suffered by your evil deeds? " he turned away trying to control his anger, "we tried so hard hoping that maybe one day you would return to the woman who I married and loved us so dearly....but all we kept seeing was a mother and wife turning into a monster for something that was nothing, to begin with ".
" George I admit I have been a bad wife and mother but I have never given up on you all. I dedicated all my life to you three and never grew tired of caring but you all betrayed me" Chris's mother shouted.
Jack moved closer to her, "Mom, we know you have done everything for us but you ended up wanting to control our lives which turned into something suffocating. Back then I didn't leave home cause I hated you, I left because with time I realized you wanted to govern every tiny part of my life even in my adult life "
He frowned, "I was a grown man with his ideas so I wanted to be independent.
" You can say that but we both know Chris influenced you into leaving me. He left me for a woman not worthy of him and our family and let her influence you into falling for that man " she pushed him away. "and am sure she must have convinced your father to divorce me too "
Chris scowled, "when will you ever stop blaming Camilla for your mistakes? She never said anything to Dad or made Jack fall for Alfred and it was me who pestered Camilla till she fell for me not her. So please stop blaming her for everything "
"If it wasn't for her to love you then you would still be listening to me and Jack would never meet that guy and your father would not have to be like this. It's all her fault " she was barking at shouting.
Chris moved to push Jack aside and grabbed his mother's arm, "Mom stop acting like a fool and open your eyes to the truth. You caused all this when you hurt her first and when she came back & choose to forgive you, you stupidly went ahead to harm her again. exposing how horrible and selfish you are "
His mother pulled away falling next to the bed, "I accept I let anger control me that time but I promise not to do it again. George we both know I can't survive without you having my back " she tried grabbing his hand but he moved it away.
"You should have thought about it before pushing me down those stairs, now all I can see is someone who can kill me anytime she feels like it. The image of that beautiful, and elegant woman I loved vanished a long time ago and now she is replaced by something I can't even describe " he grabbed the documents from the bedside and handled them to her, "Don't prolong this matter and sign them soon, we want to move on from this painful phase "
She grabbed the documents and flung them across the room. "I will never do that, I belong here and will never allow being thrown away after all that we have been through together " she cried and walked out.
Blindly walking away she noticed Camilla still in the living room. Still fuming with resentment she strode to where she was.
Camilla and Rachel looked up to see her stand beside them.
"You think you can throw me out and take my place? I will never let that happen " she shouted.
Camilla ignored her and looked away as she caressed her grown baby bump
Winnie scoffed, "Let me tell you a little secret, that little monster and you will soon won't be in my way and everything will go back to normal with my fam..."
A slap sounded in the room. Winnie staggered and fell back holding her now red hot cheek.
Camilla walked to where she had fallen and looked down at her, "Let me also warn you, don't you ever call my baby a monster 'cause between you and me... it's you who is a monster "
Still shocked by what had happened Winnie looked as Camilla walked back to where Rachel was standing.
"Is that okay Camilla? I mean she is still your mother-in-law" Rachel whispered.
" You don't have to consider that anymore. I used to hold back cause I thought she would change but a woman who can harm someone who has been there for her isn't one I can respect " Camilla glared at Winnie still down on the floor.
She got up and rushed at Camilla with a raised arm ready to hit her but someone got in between them
"Mom please leave and stop embarrassing yourself," Jack said standing between his mother and Camilla.
"You're still protecting her even now" she yelled.
"MOM!?...please stop this and go. you have done enough already so please just go " he said.
