"Have you both talked to your mother since the accident?" he asked.
Both shook their heads, " I called her on the night you were bought here but she never picked up " Jack said.
"I went home yesterday but mom wasn't there & the maids said she left the day you were brought to the hospital " Chris revealed.
"I don't think I can protect her anymore, your mother's actions had hurt a lot of people including you both. It's time we put a stop to it " he said.
"But I didn't expect mom to do this to you, did she turn this cold?" Jack questioned.
"My son your mother has been losing it for a while now, but I kept putting it off thinking she would give up. But after what she did with Samantha and then Lily I finally realized she was gone " he sighed watching his two sons, "the woman who I married and the woman who raised you both disappeared a long time ago, it's just that we have been turning a blind eye cause we love her "
"Mom has been putting on a facade for us while she sprung her web of evil to the people we love & when we found out it was already too late. She had hurt Camilla & her family joined forces with Samantha and manipulated Lily and all. this for her benefit " Chris frowned.
"I can't say why she's obsessed with controlling everything around her but this time we should not let her " their father spoke.
"Where do we start to look for her?" Jack asked.
"I tried sending some of our men to look in all possible places I could think of but she wasn't there. It's like she knew we would look in those places first " Chris let out.
"Don't worry, let's first make sure that whatever she's planning to do doesn't affect any of our loved ones " the old man said.
Camilla was waiting for Ritah to return from the washrooms when she saw a familiar figure cross the hall. She frowned thinking it was impossible to see her here. But she decided to check it anyway.
Camilla followed and soon found the familiar person she stopped and called with a smirk, "Mother-in-law, what bring you here?" she chuckled.
Chris's mother froze and turned, she glared at Camilla.
"Am unlucky, why do I have to meet you here "
Camilla moved closer, "well unlike you I do know how important your husband is to us, especially to his two sons. He's been here for almost a week and you never appeared here but now you show your face, isn't that a little suspicious?" Camilla raised her eyebrow.
"I don't care what you think but I know you don't care at all. You're just putting on a show so they will all fall under your spell "
Camilla laughed listening to her mother-in-law's words.
"Me? pretend .you must have your brain checked mother. Your husband almost died by your own hands and all you did was stand over him doing nothing " her eyes were filled with anger, "he been your husband for some many years but you just stood there and watched him bleed in pain, are you sure your even human anymore?"
Camilla felt her anger rise then more she talked, her hand raised and pushing the woman back as her eyes accused her of all the evil deeds she did.
"Imagine what your two sons felt when they saw him in that state, laying in their surroundings by machines that fought to keep him alive. Do you think they see you as their mother now " she bent closer to the now pale face of her mother-in-law, "No they don't, now all they see is a crazy evil woman who is not their way of happiness "
"That's a lie my children can never do that " she barked back.
Camilla chuckled, "You have tasted the wrath of Chris and know how crazy he gets by do you know how bad and dangerous Jack and your husband can be? You have hurt them both too deeply this time, I don't think there is any redemption for you anymore ".
" You think all this can scare me, I know my family more than you and I can control them well. So I don't think an outsider like you has any right to tell me what to do or what they think of me "
"Suit your self old lady I thought you had some brains left but it seems your craziness has taken you all over. I just hope you don't regret all this later " Camilla turned to leave.
"Am going to get rid of you and all the people you bought into my family's life. I won't leave any trace of all of them or you and after it's all done my husband and two sons will be back to me again and this time you won't be there to destroy it " she spat out.
Camilla turned her head and glanced at the face full of sin and sighed. "I should hate you by now but all I keep feeling is pity and remorse for you. Since I have given you a lot of warnings and you never listened I just hope that when you die your soul finally finds peace "
"Huh?, so you think you can kill me now, I thought you were so pure and innocent to kill anyone "
"Am saying this cause I know that you won't survive the storm that is coming your way. You have done a lot of evil things to stay alive, so I pray you to rest in peace " she glanced at her one more time and walked away.
