Chris started the car with a smile on his face. Camilla turned to him and giggled.
"Am sorry love, I might have let my emotions control me a little back there " she said.
He frowned, "What do you mean?"
She sighed, " It's mom, she wanted to meet me and when I thought about how she had claimed my baby was a hindrance, I got angry "
He stopped the car and turned to her, "Love your mother has already proved to us that she never wanted to support us from the beginning. So you can let her keep hurting you like this "
She nodded, "I know but she still has a place in my life no matter what I do to avoid that ".
Chris pulled her closer, "You being this depressed makes me sad too, lets's forget all that & bury it back in the past so we can move on "
They drove off after she calmed down.
Chris got angry later for not getting what he had expected to get when they got home.
Her parents didn't call or visit for a few months, Camilla acted like they didn't exist but still missed them sometimes. Chris did his best to make sure Camilla never longed for anything but with time it wasn't enough.
She would sit alone and get lost in thought. He was worried but knew she was thinking about her lost memories.
He had to leave for a business trip and she had a cooking event she needed to attend.
"Love, take care on your trip and make sure to blow their minds " he had said while hugging her goodbye.
She nodded tiptoeing to kiss him, "Am going to miss you " she whispered.
His ears got red as he pulled away. His driver and assistant chuckled looking at him get all red.
Camilla left first and Chris left after three days. Both are in separate cities but share the same emotions.
He called often before his meetings started and Camilla was soon busy when her show started.
"Who is she, it's like she's a devil in the kitchen " one of the guests asked.
"She's the famous chief, Camilla Smith. And just as you have said, she's called the kitchen devil " the other laughed.
Camilla had just finished showing the trainers her last dish when her phone vibrated.
She left her last instructions and excused herself.
"Hi, love " she answered the call.
It was Chris he had just left his meeting. He sounded tired she thought.
"Get into the shower have a warm bath & then eat something," she said.
He smiles listening to her voice. "Your voice gives me strength "
"Then get up and do what I just said," she said.
He laughed "Yes love. I will call you when I head to bed "
"Okay, let me get ready to leave too "
She turned around after hanging up and bumped into someone.
"Oh sorry " she apologized.
He smiled holding her in position, "It should be me who should apologize, I didn't see you there " his warm voice chuckled.
She looked up to see beautiful brown eyes and a seductive smile. He was gorgeous, she remembered he was the model bought for the photoshoot the next day.
"Something on my face?" he asked letting her go.
She pulled back her gaze realizing she had been staring
"Not really, you're just so handsome up close " she confessed.
His laugh made her smile.
She excused herself and headed to her hotel.
Jack was mesmerized by Camilla's beauty. He stood there and watched her walk off with a smile that had set something free in him.
