"Morning," he said with a smile on his face.
"Morning " she answered still bent down close to his face.
"Am I getting a morning kiss?" he asked looking down at her lips.
"Hell no? " Camilla got up moving back away from the bed.
Chris got up laughing at her red embarrassed face. She pointed at the bag that had been delivered, " Someone bought those for you " she said running out of the room.
"Thanks " she heard Chris say to her.
Camilla waited until Chris appeared in the living room, smart and fresh. He had taken a shower and changed his suit.
He looked smart and serious that she found herself staring at his perfect body and face in a suit.
Chris noticed her staring, " Do I look okay?" he asked.
Camilla looked away, " Am not a mirror " she said grabbing a cup.
Chris laughed again moving to the kitchen counter.
She passed him a cup of coffee and the breakfast she had made.
"Am late so I will be off " Camilla got up grabbing her bag moving to the door.
"See you later," Chris said to her.
She stopped and turned around.
"You're staying another night?"
Chris nodded, " I told you last night "
She was going to say something when her phone rang, it was Rita.
Picking it up she said "I am on my way " then looked at Chris, " I have no time for this so we will talk later "
She left him in her apartment having breakfast and rushed to work.
His driver was waiting outside her apartment when Chris came out.
"Did mother ask for me?" he asked
"No, she didn't " he answered before starting the car.
The company was busy as usual so Chris got to work the moment he arrived. His last meeting with his staff ended at midnight.
Sometimes he regretted why he had accepted to inherit such a big company.
But it had helped to forget his sorrows but now that he was trying to get Camilla back, it was only a hindrance to his plans.
She must have left work already since her restaurant closed at ten in the night.
She was so naive and happy in her normal world, he didn't want to destroy that perfect world she had made but only wanted to be apart of it.
His stomach groaned, the only thing he had since morning was her breakfast. He was so busy that he missed lunch and it was past time for dinner.
He walked to his mini cellar in his office and took out a bottle of wine.
Sitting back down, Chris took half the bottle without realizing it. All he thought about was why he had to suffer like this.
All he wanted was for her to remember who he was but all she wanted was for him to disappear from her sight.
Did she hate him that much, but why when all he did was love her with all his heart. The memories they had made were only stuck with him to bear while she moved on as nothing had happened.
He walked out of his company, his driver who had been waiting for him, helped Chris into his car.
"Take me to her," he said.
"Yes sir " knowing what he meant he drove off to Camilla's place again.
Camilla had held a birthday party at her restaurant which delayed their usual closing time. The birthday went on till midnight, it didn't bother her since it was the weekend the next day.
She didn't work on weekends just so she could pet her cat and have some free time for herself.
"Goodbye guys and have a lovely weekend," she told her coworkers after closing the restaurant.
Having been forced to drink a little during the birthday toast Camilla was a bit drunk so Ben offered to take her home.
"Thanks, Ben, " she said after they arrived at her apartment. He watched her take the elevator making sure she would safely at her door, Ben set off too.
Camilla opened her door and got in. Her tummy and head hurt. She felt hot and dizzy.
"Let's take bath " she looked down at her cat. He followed her to the bathroom but ran off the moment he saw the water fill up in the tub.
She giggled watching it ran off to the living room. She closed the door and went to the bathroom.
Chris came in a few minutes later, Snowy welcome him.
"Is she asleep already?" he patted it head.
He walked to the room she had told him to stay in and dropped on the bed. He wasn't a fan of drinking but having to meet different people meant learning different habits. His tolerance to drinking had built up with time after having to drink with most of his clients.
He had taken have the bottle of wine but still didn't feel a thing but pain for having taken it on an empty stomach. He was in her home with Camilla in the next room but he still didn't feel satisfied.
Still trapped in his past, Chris had something fall and a scream. He got up since it came from her room.
