I wipe the sweat off my brow with my right hand. Too late, I say to myself as I feel some of the liquid dribble into my eyes. I squint in pain as my eyes burn for a few minutes. 

"Hey Vincent, hurry it up there. We have to finish this row before lunch, or we won't have time to fetch water later," says my oldest brother Varis.

"Ah, I can already imagine this yard bursting full of grapes within the next few months! Isn't that just so exciting?!" my elder sister Violet exclaims as she puts seeds in small holes poked into the ground.

"Well the grapes won't plant themselves, so get to planting those seeds," says our third born, Victor. "And you too, Vincent, be sure to water each and every seed we plant. This vineyard will be brimming with fruits in a few weeks' time," he continues.

But I'm not listening to their conversation at all. My nose is on the ready, sensing that savory smell I've been longing for since this morning. Here it is!
