Chapter 137 - Ode to the Mother

LAIS

To be perfectly honest, I'm not much of a fan of Monday morning ceremonies. They're the only one time we're required to wear our military issued hats. And I don't like hats, they make my hair go all sticky-uppy and out of place. I know I can totally rock a messy look, but I prefer tto look like a refined person. Even Len is wearing her hat, though she's still sticking to using her office uniform. To be blunt, we all look like we're having a state leader every Monday.

The bell rings, and everyone gathers at the headquarters' training ground. We arrange ourselves by team number. I stand in front of my team, and we all face the pole that carries the flag of the country.

"Attention!" says the adjutant.
