Felix clears his throat. I think I have an idea of what is coming next.

He really is pitiful, this boy. To have lived his entire life with issues, even before he suffered the war. To have grown up the way he did…
I understand why he would want that question answered now that he has grown a bit. Back then he was young and hopeful, and he dared not ask why his life was that way, why he had to be raised in secret, atop a tower where no one can find out about him. To him back then, it was not a problem, both it and the hatred of his father. To him, it was a mere fact of life to be accepted.
