He knows, I know he knows, and I know he knows I know he knows. But he is stubborn, like all beings that bother with emotion, he is stubborn. He is clearly not in the best condition to be joining this fight. Why bother be involved in a fight when you know that your judgement will only be clouded by your emotions? He is far too invested in this case to make clear and rational decisions. 

After all these years, Lais is still yet to learn how to separate his emotions from the situation, how to remove his feelings from the fight and engage emotion-free. Once he is emotionally invested in the fight, it might mess him up. Try as I might to teach him to get himself under control, I cannot seem to do anything. He is his own greatest enemy, his inability to control his emotions is his fatal flaw.
