HELEN
Why would anyone be so eager to say he killed a famous person? Why would he be so adamant that he is a criminal? Why would he be worried that some people may want him out of prison?
Because there is more to his story than just a simple baker who stabbed a governor to death.
I am almost certain of it, Samuel Pearson is hiding something.
But what could it be? And how is it related to our issue with Lais' missing sword? There must be something here, a link that connects the two stories. And I must find that link.
I walk the long corridors of the headquarters at this hour of the night, my footsteps echoing into the dead of the night. Sleep is the last thing on my mind despite the high hour. I have more important things to deal with.
I must come up with something tonight. Lais cannot wake up to a world where there is no clue as to where his sword is. I must make sure I at least have something to tell him when he comes to.
