Chapter 3 - Ginger nerd?

At rehabilitation, it turns out we still need to have an education and learn shit. Sounds interesting, except for the fact that I thought I'd escape school for good. Especially seeing as I'm a grown ass man. It makes me wonder how young the people in here really are.

However, to prevent any danger to others, you have to have been in rehabilitation for at least 6 months, or longer, depending on the reason you're there.

Sure, sounds all well and good, but wait for the best part. I finally get to opening the door, and some fucker is using my designated seat as a foot rest.

Rebecca and that other girl were sat near the back, how they managed to get a seat is beyond me, but their gaze was glued onto me, which made me both incredibly anxious and uncomfortable.

"Oi, ginger nerd!" He called out to me and my gaze lazily swept over to him, eyes still lidded as I watched him. My lips curled into a cruel smile as he sat forwards and leaned on his elbows to take a better look at me.

"Can I help you, skunk?" I mean, what made it worse was the fact that his brown hair had a literal white line going through the centre. I continued smiling at him.

"I suggest you keep your mouth shut, freak." He hissed at me, kicking his feet off the chair and leaning slightly closer to me with a glare.

"Or what, goofy?" I retorted, having noticed his overly large front teeth he had.

"Or I'll make you skin yourself and feed it to the dogs." He growled at me.

"You know, my good chum, there is only one dog around here which happens to be sitting infront of me." I tilted my head slightly in his direction while examining the lecture-room-sized classroom. I heard a few snickers and whispers across the room, suppose they were eavesdropping.

I heard the door open behind me and let out a long sigh. I should've found a seat, instead of arguing with an animal. At least people's gazes shifted from me to the supposed person behind.

"And, who do we have here?" They asked, sounding like a woman in her late fifties, don't ask how I could guess, just call it a quirk of mine. Her scratchy voice may have given it away.

I must've zoned out again, as she was suddenly infront of me. She had a shiny, black bob-cut, while being around the same height as me (5'10 maybe?), with skinny, spindly fingers and strict features.

"Need I repeat myself?"

"Uhmm.." I scratched my ear, glancing away while mumbling. "My name is Kory. Don't you have a list or something?"

"Kory, right." She ignored the last part. "Surname?"

"I'd rather not have to remember, if I'm totally honest." I put rather simply as I look at her again.

"I won't take impudence, so answer immediately."

"You know, even my psychiatrist isn't this persistent. And besides, being an adult sucks, but there's one good thing about it. I'm old enough to refuse, alright?" I could feel my mouth twitching, wanting to let out a smirk, but I had to prevent it so not to mock her.

"Hmm..." She seemed to think about this for a moment, before turning and eyeing skunk-boy. "Dio, move your feet, immediately." Well, sure enough, his feet were removed within the second. I moved over and sat down besides him.

"She could qualify as a prison guard." I mutter under my breath and adjust myself within the seat.

"So, everyone, meet Kory. He is our newest student and I hope you can all treat him with the same respect as you treat me with." She was straight to the point, as she then announces the lesson.

"Pssst..." The skunk whispers next to me, I must've zoned out because the woman was tapping things on the board and the guy next to me was asking me for answers.

"Something to do with numbers.." I comment quietly, I hadn't been paying attention, so I had no idea.
