In a lone alley between many tall buildings...
Sheila is trying to take a shortcut home from her first day at her new high school. She was a mid-tier student with a healing ability, she could use moisture from the air to heal wounds on her body or someone else's body. Her rank was a 7.3, which was average, but since she had a healing ability, she could become a Bishop of the school at some point, which was quite the prestigious rank.
Sheila was almost about to burst from excitement at the fact that she might become a Bishop in a few years at this high school, it was the only thing on her mind. "Once the current ones graduate… I can be important!" Sheila thought with an impatient smile on her face.
She was so excited that she almost missed the faint sound of whistling coming from above her head.
But right as she noticed the sound, it grew exponentially louder than before, and unexpectedly, she heard the sound of something hitting the ground a few meters behind her, and some sort of fluid splashing out and around this fallen object.
She turns around to see a horribly disfigured person on the blacktop who had been mangled and torn apart by a 20 to 30-foot drop as she runs over to see what happened to the poor soul. She then steps in this person's bodily fluids, which were unexpectedly adhesive, as she saw the blood eerily cling to her shoes for dear life.
Yet, Sheila was no stranger to blood, as she had healing powers. After all, people would always go to her to fix cuts and scrapes, minor injuries like that. But she had never seen this much blood at once before.
Sheila began to feel dizzy as she attempted to collect her thoughts, though, as she was thinking about what to do next, something caught her eye, the clothes this person was wearing; it was from Tamago High; the same school she goes to! To make it worse, she sees the stripes on the sleeves of the jacket, and they were green, which indicates he is a second-year, just like Sheila.
As she starts to think about who this might be, and if she knows them, she takes a look at their face and sees it was completely mangled, and blood was pouring out of it.
She collects her thoughts and rushes to save this person, no matter what it took. She can't let a fellow student die especially if it was a second-year. What if he was in her class? She would never live it down. So, she makes an effort to save this dying man.
As she started to use her power to heal him, she was shaking and stopped immediately. Normally, when she tries to heal people, she can see the desired effect before it happens; like a premonition of how long it will take, and where she is at right now. Something indicating the patient's status.
But when she tries to heal him, all she sees is the same lifeless body on the ground not moving; as if its soul left it, which is surely something Sheila has not seen before.
She backs up, and takes one more look at the body on the ground, as she surveys it up and down, thoughts running in and out of her head.
She thought, "T-this person's clothes are torn up... And his socks are in shreds... Their skull is crushed... And blood and his organs are spilling out of him…." But one thought above all others proceeded to shake her very soul.
She thought if she was caught with this person, her healing abilities would be called into question, and she would lose her chance to become a Bishop, and her status would come with that. She can't risk the life that she anticipated...
She slowly backs away from the lifeless corpse, and turns around, and begins to sprint away from it.
And as she gets further and further away, and the alley becomes quieter, and quieter, until all you can hear is the ambiance of the night.
Then, all of a sudden, there is an abrupt and loud gasp for air, and the sound of bones snapping and crunching, as well as the sound of blood dripping, filled the air and a near-silent voice that said:
"Someone... kill... me..." Croaked the dying body.
