My life had changed completely. And I had to accept that. But before I could accept it, I just decided to give up. After all, what else could I do? I was caged up like an animal. I was being held hostage. And I couldn't move properly. The slightest movement and my whole body started making sounds like it was made of glass. So I just lay there and when it was time to eat, Cameron would visit me and make me eat.
It would not have been wise to refuse, as I had a good appetite. I ate everything and heard words of praise from Cameron for it. I felt like a child.
But with each passing hour, I stopped being me. I was losing my identity and I wasn't even resisting it.
"Nothing would happen if you trusted me. Why don't you trust me? Or am I not such a good person in your opinion?" Cameron asked one evening as a warm breeze gently touched my cheek.
I didn't answer anything. I only listened to the fire making pleasant sounds in the fireplace.
