Chapter 93
RAE KELLER
I start my day in the ice cream shop by cleaning up the shop and getting ready to receive customers, one by one, our workers started to trudge in.
First was Chelsea who waved a little at me as she walked straight to the apron rack, somehow since we had the very weird talk, it looked like she started to warm up to me, I did not know why but I liked it, and I would not sabotage that by asking stupid questions, so I waved back at her with a big smile and continued my work.
Next was Kent who gave me a wary smile, sauntering towards my counter to lean against it. "Hey." He greeted as if he did not exactly now where to start.
"Hi." I greeted back with a smile, hoping to release some of the tension in his shoulders, I wiped at the counter I had been wiping for hours now, one more time.
When he saw my smile, he relaxed just a little bit, his eyes becoming playful, but still very serious.
