I could not believe my eyes. My mind did not seem to be in the right place at that moment, lips trembling as I took in at the tall, lean but muscular man who stood behind a stricken looking Arlan, wearing a black shirt and black matching slacks with a white apron.
His chocolate brown hair was messy and looked like he had just come out from the shower, or he had run his hands through his hair countless times. Or maybe the fact that he had just gotten out of a crazy but passionate sex bout. Knowing the man before me, I knew the last option was the most likely.
He looked divine.
And I could see Arlan with a confused face as he looked back and forth between us, brows pulled together. A ting of red shame bloomed on my cheeks at how I had reacted just two minutes ago but before I could open my mouth to explain my relationship with Gabriel, the said man exclaimed with a big bright smile.
