It is only dinner.
It is just dinner.
I had to keep reminding myself even as I nodded and went inside the room behind the iced cream shop to quickly change into a very simple and cheap dress I had purchased with my daughter some weeks ago.
As I pulled it over my head and slipped my foot into the also cheap but fitting sandals, I tried not to think too much on the fact that Enola was not around to make her cheerful, unasked but always given anyways comment on my dress and how I looked. I would get my daughter back, that was a given.
Just dinner.
Just food and talking, nothing special.
