Once I had gotten over the initial fear and nerve wracking anxiety that had over come me, I had started to see Arlan and Arlan alone. There was no Adrian lurking in the corners. Not this time.
I gave a small embarrassed smile and hung my head in shame while trying not to let the tears fall at the pain that small movement caused my bruised and sore face. I also tried not to think too much on the fact that Adrian actually had a family that I never knew of. I never for once thought he had a sister or even parents after he had told me all his family members were dead.
