Here he looked like the king of the world, he looked like he had the power to command almost everyone in the room filled with stupid rich people. I did not need to even ask him about that.
He looked high and mighty, even with a touch of arrogance and while I knew it was probably an act for whoever he really was, it suited him so well. Everyone was staring at him reverently, as if they could not wait to get his attention.
"This is your party then?" I asked softly.
He looked at me and in a second his features changed.
He was mine again, My Arlan. He smiled at me and kissed my forehead right then, his hands tightening around me, eyes twinkling mischievously. "Something like that." He answered and I could not help the relived breath that left my lips when I recognized the man before me again.
I laughed, a bit self conscious about all the people who were staring at us, whispering and even pointing fingers.
