Just a few minutes after Jake and Arlan's tirade, Jake drove into a driveway that I was not exactly familiar with. I tried not to get too nervous as he parked the car and I looked out the tinted window. From what I saw, it did not look like a lot was going on. I smirked, a bit relived at that.
At least I would not have to face a million flashing cameras.
"Are you ready, Rae?" Arlan's voice brought me out of my temporary reverie, I turned to look at him, trying to give my best smile.
I decided that I would do everything possible not to feel embarrassment tonight, not with him by my side. I was a well known model and I would act as such, nothing more nothing less.
I nodded. "Yes, Arlan." I breathed to his hearing with my most confident smile plastered on my face.
He smiled, looking at me in such a way that made my head swell with pride. I winked at him as he chuckled.
