The road back home was full of uncertainties and the wonders of what could have happened, what should have happened, and what needed to happen. Angelo was in a dilemma, but so was the whole werewolf race.
When he had said he wanted to go back home, they couldn't let him leave. They already had abandonment issues and if the alpha left, they knew there would be nothing left for them to hold on to. they needed him, but he wasn't so sure he needed them.
Just because he was a werewolf, and an alpha at that never meant he wanted to be tied down to a whole race and the warlocks knew that. they would gamble with his coming back. They were hoping he would come back.
Maybe he would abandon them like Rhian did, besides it's not like he had any reason to stay and play nice with them. For all, he could tell they probably used magic to make him into a werewolf and turn him so he could be their leader.
