Of all the expected reactions that could have stemmed up from Mikhail, an outburst was never one of them. If anything, he would have probably been the rational one, considering the goddess sent him, and he clearly wasn't human.
His reaction was something that was expected from Angelo, especially with the intensity of the anger he was feeling. Mikhail knew he had blown up his cover, but they didn't seem to suspect him, so he would try to work with that and hope nobody knew what he was hiding.
For how long, he didn't know, but one thing was sure, this was a cow he would milk until it was favorable.
He continued pacing because he knew if he stopped pacing and his reaction changed to worried or someone who had been caught in a lie, then he would be having a problem with Alexei's most dangerous and powerful.
So he paced, and paced, and paced.
