"What was that?" Angelo had asked when Hera had cried out. They were still far aw ay from where Hera and everyone else were, but when they heard the branches breaking, they didn't need to know that someone had provoked the Luna queen in a way that forced her powers out.
"I say we're about to see what the hell looks like," Zari said, and everyone looked at her, none of them amused by what she had said, but she wasn't wrong. The team looked at her waiting for her to conjure some spell, to take them to where the Luna queen was, but their only way out was Angelo.
"Use your mind link," Zari suggested, but Angelo knew he couldn't.
He hopelessly stared around, waiting in the hope that Luna would subconsciously unblock their mindlinks, but there was nothing. The woman he loved was in danger and probably ruining the last hitch of humanity in her, and here he was, frustrated as fuck.
"I say we split up," Nimue suggested.
