"Carl, I'll be cooking. You're safe, and I promise," Juno said, and she meant it. Mikhail, however, snickered when he heard that his sister was cooking. He knew that for the life of her, the woman couldn't even boil water, but here she was, hoping to cook.
What is it that she would cook because he needed to know how many fire extinguishers he needed to get ready just for her? He knew that this was not the best of the best ideas, but he had to help her; after all, she was doing this for her people.
The people she kept insisting weren't hers, but who knew whether she was just the girl with a million and one demons that didn't want to share them with anyone, right?
"I'll be supervising her, just so the castle doesn't burn down…you go with the alpha; we'll be there soon enough," Mikhail said as everyone dispersed.
