Chapter 1 - The mess that Blair caused

It all started when Blair moved to my school, I thought I had left her behind in my life but now that she's here things are going to get messy

I was walking to class, in my boys uniform because well rich school, richest kid in the school but nobody knew that. They all assumed I couldn't afford the uniform and was here on scholarship. Well I was in all the AP classes.

"Hunter!"

Wait, I'm Hunter.

"Hunter, wait up!" said a familiar voice

I turned around and saw Blair Fields walking towards me. She was beautiful, runway model beautiful. Silky brunette hair, dark green eyes, olive toned skin. Walking towards me? In the school's uniform none the less. Argh

"Thanks for waiting" she hugged me, in the hallway. For everyone to see!

"Blair, what are you doing here, in that?" I ask

"My dad made me move schools" she replied "Walk me to my class, please."

"No."

"Why not?" she pouts

"Fine," I said and walked her to her first class then went to mine.

For lunch I normally sit outside, with my lunch box. You can just imagine all the rumour's as to why, but I have to, for the sake of my own sanity. Today I was pulled into the lunch hall by Blair who insisted I meet her new friends.

"Come on Hunter, I don't understand why you won't meet them."

"You will soon." I say

As soon as we walk into the lunch hall eyes turn, whispers start, she's gaining popularity and well, I'm the 'charity case'.

"Girls and guys you know Hunter right?" she says as we sit down

"That's its name, why did you bring it here. We don't sit with poor people" one of them says all snobbishly

"Poor?" she asked confused

"Yes, the only reason it got in was because of its marks, it cant even afford to buy the uniform. I bet those are hand me downs, yuck" another says

Blair laughs "OMG you don't know who she is do you?"

"Blair no" I say

"Why not, they clearly have never even bothered to google Hunter Grant."

"Yes, now lets leave. I could care less about what they think" I say trying to explain

"No Hunt," she turns to them "You all have 'smartphones' go on google THEM" she says to them

It was too late to save the situation, you see I quite enjoyed being a nobody in this place. Because well, I'm the youngest CEO of one of the Forbes 100 companies, making me literally the richest kid in school. I enjoyed walking around where no one looked to me for solutions and only as another face. Blair on the other hand loves attention, she's a model and actress after all. Yes, we are both only 17 but we come from established families. Blairs family owns a chain of retail stores both high-end stores and middle-class. My family specializes in tech companies. I run a chain of hotels, my father plans on giving the family business over to me one day. He says tech is forever growing and we need to be at the forefront of it. I agree with him but I have ideas of my own that he won't agree with so I run my company the way I want to run it. So now here we are, my identity revealed to the whole school

"Holy shit," they all say as soon as they realised who I was

"This can't be true, is it?" asks the first girl.

"Yes, it's true," says Blair and she flips her hair as if she hadn't just ruined my life. Then she wonders why I never bothered to stay in contact with her.

"Let's go Blair before this place becomes a madhouse," I say standing up taking my bag with me.

She gets up and follows me out the lunch hall to the benches under a tree outside where I normally sit.

"I don't get it, why don't they know who you are Hunt?" she asks me with this cute confused face

"Because I didn't want them to know B," I said ruffling my perfectly combed hair.

"Why not?"

"Because it was none of their business," I say frustrated.

"Ok but I still don't understand why," she says taking her phone out of her pocket.

We finish lunch like that and go back to class. The rest of the day consisted of everyone trying to apologise and talking to me as if I knew them or something. Opportunist each and every one of them. Only the kids in my AP classes left me alone because well let's be honest they already knew.

At the end of the day I was ready to fire someone, so when I walked into the office (changed out the uniform) they all dove for cover. No one wanted to be within firing range. I would never fire someone who didn't deserve it, but with the mood I was in I was bound to be less forgiving of mistakes. To make matters worse father calls for a family meeting the moment I walk into the house. 'insert eye-roll."

Now our house is humungous that's the only way to put it. Intercom system for communication, 16 car garage in the back. Then my father's collection stays in an underground garage. I had my dirt bikes and a race track. My sister had her horses and mother, she had her garden. Four wings each designed for each occupant. Mine was the west wing, Carys, my sister, had the east. Mother and father had the North and the south wing was for guests. My wing was designed for me by an interior designer my father paid for and the technology is updated every year. I had state of the art computers, my Tv was curved and had android functionality. We weren't an apple family seeing that my father was the competition.

The family meeting was after dinner, and what a meeting it was.
