Introduction: The kingdom of Uralius on the western continent of Waywood. The continent is filled with mages and people are free to live and use magic how they choose. Some use it for good, while others use it for evil. The human's were gifted magic from the gods centuries ago and placed a magical gem called the silk emerald into their possession. The humans obsession with power drove them to use the emeralds power, which is capable of rewriting history and destroying civilizations. With this knowledge, the humans formed the magical senate. The most powerful mages who governed all magic related incidents. They sealed the emerald away with hopes that no one would try to use the emerald's power, however dark magic guilds have been growing in number and population and plans to steal the emerald arose and that's where our story begins. Once a peaceful time in the kingdom, a sacred war is coming and a power struggle awaits.
It's springtime in the kingdom, during the annual harvest festival, vendors selling fruits and berries, as well as flowers and other decorations. A couple walks down the street looking for a bite to eat in a city full of life. The couple continues until they find a tavern called the foul wizards bar. The bartender greets them with a smile on his face.
(Bartender: What can I get for you?)
The man smiles.
(Man: Water is fine.)
The bartender bows and returns a few seconds with two mugs of water.
(Bartender: It's fresh, straight from the spring.)
(Man: Thank you.)
The couple drink in silence before the woman says something.
(Woman: So Archie, why are we here again?)
(Archie: Because I got thirsty, and this was on the way, really Lori you should really lighten up.)
(Lori: Lighten up? You making this detour got us lost in the first place.)
(Archie: We're not lost.)
(Lori: Where are we then?)
(Archie: We're in the port town of Penton.)
(Lori: You're a real piece of work, you know that.)
(Archie: You can always go back.)
*Lori eyes wide.*
(Lori. No that's okay, I'll behave.)
(Archie: *laughs* That's why you're my best friend.)
(Lori: *Blushes*)
Archie ask the bartender how much the spring water cost.
(Bartender: My boy, water is free here, enjoy!)
Archie and Lori stand up to leave. They begin to walk toward the door. As they open the door, a girl collides with them.
(Girl: *Sits up rubbing her head and out of breath* Owwww.)
(Lori: Watch where you're going.)
(Archie: Now, now, be nice.)
Archie helps the girl up.
(Girl: Mister, you have to help me. *Points to the sword on Archie's back* You can use that right?)
(Archie: Slow down, I don't even know your name.)
(Girl: *In a panic* There's no time, they're coming.)
(Lori and Archie: Who's coming.)
Scene cuts outside to the streets of the town. A group of men with a black scroll mark on their cloaks, ransack the town and destroy people's homes. They are lead by a big overly muscled man, he has black skin and wavy night black hair, he wore a blue and grey wardrobe that was dignified. He wasn't wearing a shirt. He had black flames radiating from his body, a white scroll mark on his left breast, and to his left was a woman with straight eggshell white hair with deep set blue eyes. She is tall and has the body that ricals an amazonian woman and wore a profession skirt and blouse that is all black. She had a black scroll mark right below her knee.
(Woman: Careful Blitzfire, I don't need you burning down this city. I happen to like it here.)
(Blitzfire: Zoya, I know what I'm doing.)
(Zoya: This is your mission, I'm only here to provide transportation, and maybe meddle around if I feel it's necessary Oh and try not to burn down the city.)
(Blitzfire: The girl our men found, are you sure she has it?)
(Zoya: When have I ever lied to you?)
(Blitzfire: Hmph, I suppose you're right, well then, the best way to somewhere is in a straight line right? If she's hiding in the city, I guess I'll just have to let it burn.)
(Zoya: *Facepalm* That's the exact opposite of what I asked you to do,do as you please.)
Blitzfire reaches out a massive hand.
(Blitzfire: HEAT INFERNO.)
A spiral of black fire expels from his hand and engulfs the block into flames. Townspeople scream and run in fear and hide from the fire. His flames engulf everything including the bar that Archie and co are inside. A magical barrier protects everyone inside the bar. Holding the barrier up is Lori.
(Lori: Is everyone okay?)
The bar patrons express their gratitude.
(Archie: Black flames huh, this is new.)
(Lori: Now is not the time to be in awe on something that just tried to kill you!)
Blitzfire and Zoya see the magic barrier and advance closer to the ruins of the bar.
(Zoya: For once, burning everything in sight was a good thing. That found her for us, relatively easily.)
(Archie: Who are you and what do you want?)
(Zoya: I am Zoya Buckner, one of the 7 servants of the grandmaster, if you must know.)
(Blitzfire: I'm here for the girl, hand her over and we'll leave without causing any more harm to this city.)
*Sophie hides behind Archie and Lori cowering.*
(Blitzfire: Fine, I'll just burn you alive.)
Blitzfire raises his hand for another heat inferno. Before the attack left his hand, his overly muscled body flew into a nearby building and crashed into a pile of rubble. Archie is standing a few feet away from him, flexing his fist.
(Blitzfire: I told you kid, I want the girl, give her over and I'll disregard your action just now. I am Blitzfire of the 7 servants. So what will it be? If I have to take what I need of her burned corpse I will)
(Archie: You talk too much.)
Blitzfire moves the ground at an extreme speed, until he's right behind Archie. He punched Archie in the back and sends him flying, Blitzfire moves even faster to catch Archie's face in his palm and smash him into the ground.
(Blitzfire: I'm fast for a big man kid, had enough?)
Archie grabs Blizefire's wrist and squeezes and pulls his palm off his face, and throws him over his head. Archie rolls over to his left and sprints toward Blitzfire. He catches him in the chest with a knee and a swift kick across the jaw. Blitzfire staggers back and spits out a little blood.
(Blitzfire: Now I'm angry.)
He starts to irradiate black flames more harsher than before. Blitzfire conjures up black fireballs and throws them at Archie.
(Blitzfire: BLACK FIREBALL: SCATTERSHOT.)
Archie effortlessly dodges all of the attacks. He misses one of the fireballs and it hits him. There is a large explosion and lots of smoke.
(Blitzfire: One of my attacks found the mark and it killed him, that was easy.)
(Zoya: And here I thought you were actually going to lose.)
(Archie: Don't be so sure.)
Zoya and Blitzfire turn around and are shocked to see Archie standing there with a sword drawn and that it's now irradiating Blitzfire's black flames.
(Blitzfire: But how?)
(Archie: You're not the only one with magical power.)
Archie raises the sword tip at Blitzfire, He smiles.
(Archie: I had fun, but I have things to do, assuming you survive this, we can spar again.)
Multiple fireballs fill the air around Archie.
(Archie: MARS DETONATION.)
The fireballs hit Blitzfire and all explode all at once. Once the dust clears and the smoke is gone, Blitzfire's unconscious body lays at the bottom of a three foot crater.
(Zoya: Well, looks like my judgement was right again. *Sigh*)
Zoya walks up to Blitzfire, shakes her head in disgust and puts her hand on his back.
(Zoya: We'll be back.)
Zoya and her company disappear and teleport to an unknown location.
(Girl: Wow that was amazing, How can I repay you.)
(Archie: Don't bother, that was merely an inconvenience, I had no intention of fighting, come Lori.)
(Lori: Be more careful girl.
(Girl: *Crosses her arms in frustration and glares at Lori.* My name isn't girl, it's Sophie.)
Archie: "Stay out of trouble Sophie. It's dangerous here."
Archie and Lori walk off and resume their travels. Lori uses her magic to heal Archie's bruises.
(Lori: This an insulting use of my magic, ya know.)
(Archie: My magical power isn't fully adjusted to the way magic works in this world.)
(Lori: It seems that the magic here is inside a person rather than gifted to certain individuals.)
(Archie: That man Blitzfire kept saying that Sophie had something he wanted, I want to know what that is.)
(Lori: That's none of our concern, we aren't here to meddle in human affairs.)
(Archie: Yeah, you're right, we have a job to do.)
The two walk until they find a place to rest. The battle with Blitzfire taxed Archie's magical power and left him extremely fatigued. He decided to rest underneath an apple tree for a few hours.
*Cuts back to town*
Sophie stands in what's left of Penton's main square. She clutches a key in her hands.
(Sophie:*To herself* That was a close one, luckily there was someone there to help me, had they not been here I would have died. Why won't my magic work, I have magic. Don't I?)
Sophie begins her walk back home to the Luminous Heart guild hall. She finds a creature cowering in the street. She looks down at it oddly. It's like a pink fur ball with two antenna and two large eyes and a mouth. She holds her hand out.
(Sophie: It's okay, I won't hurt you.)
The creature waddles closer and sniffs Sophie's outstretched hand. It snuggles up in her hand and she pets it.
(Sophie: It'll be okay buddy.)
(Creature: Chick chick chobi.)
Sophie looks at it puzzled.
(Sophie: You want to come with me?)
(Creature: Chobi Chi.)
(Sophie: Well okay, do you have a name?)
(Creature: Chi chick chick.)
(Sophie: Damazo? What a lovely name. Okay come along.)
(Damazo: Chobi Chick Chick Chobidie.)
(Sophie: Alter your form? What do you mean?)
(Damazo: Chobi chobi chick chick chi.)
(Sophie: Something more animal-like, what do you have in mind?)
(Damazo: Chick chick chi chi.)
Damazo transformed into a little hamster.
(Sophie: A hamster? *Eyes twinkle* YOU'RE ADORABLE.)
(Damazo: Oh stop, you're flattering me.)
(Sophie: You can speak normal words?)
(Damazo: I'm a shapeshifter not from this world. I know every language known in this world, I'm surprised you could understand my native tongue, not many can. I should take my true form if I am to come with you.)
Damazo switched from a hamster into his true form, a little boy no older than 11, he had pointed ears and long, curly burnt orange hair. He had nice tailored clothes and a high collared jacket.
(Sophie: So you're an elf.)
(Damazo: Yes, I am.)
(Sophie: Well we should head back if you're going to come!)
(Damazo: Coming!)
Sophie and Damazo begin walking to the guild. They had talked for a while before it started to rain. As they got closer to the guild an arguing couple came closer into view.
(Sophie: Wait a second, I know them.)
The arguing couple was Lori and Archie, it was very clear that they were lost.
(Lori: Just admit it, we're lost.)
(Archie: We aren't lost.)
(Lori: *Gesture's around them with her arms* This is the same bar you destroyed six hours ago, we've walked in a circle.)
Sophie sees them and greets them.
(Sophie: Hello again! I thought I'd never cross paths with you again. Are you lost?)
(Lori: Yes.)
(Sophie:*Points to the building on the right* You should go in there, it's a magic user guild, they should be able to help you.)
(Archie: We don't need help, but thanks for the offer.)
(Sophie: But it's raining, if you're lost and you're out here too long, you'll catch a cold.)
(Lori: She makes a good point, but how do you know so much about this place?)
(Sophie: Well *smiles* It's my home, I also work here.)
(Archie: When we first met, I felt no magical power from you, how could you possibly work here?)
(Sophie: I run simple errands, I don't know why I was attacked, but I think it has something to do with this key.)
*Sophie pulls out a white key.
(Archie: I recognize that key. From a book I read once.)
(Sophie: What is it?)
(Archie: It's a key to unlock the seal of the Silk Emerald, the most powerful item in the known world.)
(Sophie: What can this emerald do?)
(Archie: I'll have to explain later, it's cold and it's getting dark, I hate the dark.)
Sophie walks over to the guild hall door, it's a four story building which is an old fashion type structure, and has two giant front doors with a gold heart glowing in the center.
(Sophie: *Smiles* Are you ready?
(Archie: Thank you Sophie, I would like to sincerely apologize for my behavior earlier.)
(Sophie: It's okay, but I still don't know your name.)
(Lori: I am Lorna Deleon, but I am commonly referred to as Lori.)
(Sophie: It's nice to meet you Lori.)
(Archie: I am known in this world as Archibal Long, but my true name is Laranzis Alcatan, the future fairy king.)
(Sophie: *To herself* Wow, he's royalty and a hunk. Wait what am I saying, he's a fairy, so that explains his magical power from earlier and why he was able to defeat Blitzfire in one attack. Wow this is so cool.)
*Damazo locks eyes with Archie.*
(Damazo: Laranzis!)
*He runs and hugs Archie with tears in his eyes.*
(Damazo: I thought I'd never see you again.)
(Archie: Hey little buddy how'd you get here?)
*Sophie and Lori look at them confused and dumbfounded.*
(Lori: How do you know each other.)
(Archie: He's my pet, a shapeshifting blob I found when I was a kid, I took him in and decided to be my companion. I taught him english and how to look more appealing to people so that's why he looks like an elf.)
(Sophie: Well okay. How was I able to understand his native language?)
(Archie :*Shrugs* I have no idea actually.)
*The rain intensifies*
(Sophie: We should go inside, is everyone ready?)
(Lori, Archie, and Damazo: Yes!)
*Sophie pushes the door open and walks into*
