A creature that was once told around the barn fire to keep children and adults away from the dark woods was a creature with many hands.
The hands determined the fate of the person that it is judging.
The creature stands tall as a tree hiding and wandering around in the dark woods. At night it comes to hunt those who committed sins and its hands grow claws and sharp fangs that would look like a wolf.
The lower half is a deer and it is hairy as a Bigfoot and as heavy as a great bear. What makes it so mysterious is that it doesn't come out of the dark woods.
Anyone that enters the dark woods then returns would have nightmares about it and it comes back to them when they are alone.
In shadows, its travels, and from the woods, it comes. Anyone that committed a crime will be punished by their hands and hung or headstand tall on a stake.
It is a horrifying death that will destroy anyone's soul.
