Chapter 1 - Do or Die

*Inside an inn*

*People laughing*

A boy coming in an inn, suddenly welcomed by a crowd as he hear them laugh as they begin to demean him, he hears

"Hahaha what a wimp! Can't even kill a low level goblin. That's why he's stayed being level 1 as a delivery boy! Hahahaha".

as the guy hysterically laughs just to let him hear it.

"Mr! Are you there??" said

Phinx while panting because he just came back from picking up the item

"Here's your item.""Ah Phinx, wait there for a bit"

As he saw Phinx, he felt embarrased then said "Sorry for the trouble, seems they still won't stop even if I told them to. Here's the gold for safely handling the item."

Seeing the amount of gold that was handed to him is less than what he expected, Phinx says

"But the fee is 75 gold."

"Sorry but I don't have enough to pay you." Phinx felt being cheated, he glares at the man while thinking

"What can I do with the rent now when I don't have enough gold to pay it with".

Walking out of the inn, Phinx suddenly hears a cry out for help while seeing a guy covered with his own blood. He rushed to the man then asked

"Hey sir! Are you alright?"

Phinx said while looking at the man having deep wounds, Phinx says

"Who did this to you?".

Having a terrified face while looking around too see if it has followed him, the man immediately says "Go and hide! The monster who did this to me is a very dangerous one! You must go now!!"

"Something is coming and it's very fast"

Phinx thought to himself.

After seeing something rushing in, he then hides behind a tree. As he hears the monster abruptly stopping its pace from running, Phinx turns around to see the wounded man being eaten by an Orc! He slowly walks away, carefully not to alert the Orc, but due to a misstep he broke a dry branch and it made a sound so loud that the Orc turns its attention to Phinx.

He starts to run as fast as he possibly can while screaming out

"HELP! PLEASE!! SOMEONE HELP ME!!! THERE'S AN ORC!!!".

While Sphinx was running away and screaming, catching up the orc says "I'm gonna eeeaat youu" while teasing Phinx as he runs for his life. After series of running and screaming while still being chased by the orc, Phinx begins to slow down panting.

Thinking to himself "Crap, what can I do now? For sure I'm gonna be eaten sooner or later",

he then pulls out his dagger on his left hand and stops to prepare for an attack.

Seeing the dagger the Orc scarcastically says "Ohh, are you gonna kill me now?" then continues "Stop resisting and just die, I'm still gonna eat you no matter what." "How ironic, seeing I can't kill a goblin, what more can I do to this orc?" Phinx thinking to himself as he lunges towards the Orc with his dagger by his hand only to stab its hand leaving a shallow wound. Dropping the dagger as his left wrist is being grabbed by the Orc, he then tries to run away but to no avail as the Orc has his wrist wrapped around its hands.

Shouting in pain as the Orc takes a bite out of his hand then says "What the heck!" while wriggling in pain. "You stab me? Then I'll eat your arm. So we can call it quits". "F$%K! This orc's gonna eat my arm!" Sphinx thinks to himself.

As he plan to get himself free, he plans to grab the dagger and stab the orc in its left hand but he would be sacrificing his left arm in order to do so. Seeing him planning to break free, the orc pushes him away. Even with the force of the orc pushing him away, Sphinx still manages to balance himself. As he starts to feel discomfort, he grabs the dagger when he saw it lying on the ground. While the orc rushes at him again after pushing him away, he manages do smoothly dodge the incoming attack of the orc and stabs it with the dagger into its body.

After he killing the Orc, he then takes a cloth from his shirt to cover the bite wound on his arm, but it was too late as he lost a lot of blood. As he faints, somone came in to catch him before fell onto the ground. Mumbling as he muster up strength as much as he could to say "Please...Let me have the loot". The person says "Don't worry, I'm not going to rob you." revealing a voice of a girl. After reassuring the loot is safe, he faints into the darkness. After carrying him to a house that is closeby, she puts him on top of a bed and takes a cloth to clean him up.

Upon lifting up his shirt, he abruptly stops the girl while thinking what she was about to do. Seeing his reaction, the girl says "Don't worry, I'm just gonna clean you". She then rubs the clean cloth on his body and accidentally touches his wound causing him to wriggle in pain. "Ughhh my hand!" she apologizes while cleaning him as he moans in agony "Oh sorry, are you okay now?" He replies while holding in the pain "Yeah...I'm fine now."

Looking around him and in shock that his loot is no where to be found then says "Ehhh?? Where's the loot?" She pulls up his bag onto the bed. Seeing that the loot is still there he says "Thank you! Ahhh what was your name again?" she giggly replies with a smile
