Chapter 260 - Cooperate

It was hard enough to stay focused in a regular battle. This chaotic tornado of cold blades whirled around her so rapidly that she couldn't possibly see everything that happened around her.

It infuriated her that the afterlife had to insult her so severely. She had not been shying away from the clashing of swords due to cowardice. It was merely a practical matter, it had always been so. Pragmatism had to be bad, then, and a fool's honor was better than having one's skin stay intact.

She got a little cut in her left breast. Now thoroughly angered by this meaningless bloodshed, she did an unthinkable lunge towards the attacker and impaled him.

The sword went all the way through the soft tissue, perhaps not too cleanly, but it would have counted as a solid kill in the world of the living.
