The voyage to Sennite waters was not very exciting. Anything west of Neul was generally considered to be a dreadful, boring place, and even though their last trip west had been everything and anything else, this time the old saying held true.
In west it was best to just rest.
There was nothing noteworthy, not one battle, one sea monster, nothing.
Serenica should have been relieved, but she wasn't, and when she wondered about this while on a stroll on the deck, Ed said that something had changed in her blood to make her addicted to danger.
She was not sure if she believed him.
"You will understand," the inventor genius said wearily. "Not in your lifetime. But those you taught will, at some point, see that I was right."
"Perhaps it is so," Serenica said and watched the coastline of the westernmost parts of Sennas appear on the horizon.
