Chapter 107 - Left

As Essert arrived with his sword, Serenica lost half of the motivation she had received from the awed admirers of her beauty.

As he drew his sword and cut a few daffodils, she lost the rest of it.

His movements were so swift that Serenica would have no speed advantage. His sword was heavy, and he handled it with ease, the sword was big enough that a normal man of his size would have had considerable difficulties wielding it.

Serenica wanted to be sensible and back away.

Pity she wasn't a sensible woman. She had to try a trick, a real witch trick, and she had to do it in a way that wouldn't be noticed by anyone to preserve her honor. After all, duels were firstly and foremostly about honor, nothing else, not about beating someone and certainly not about killing one's opponent. She had a feeling Essert didn't understand that.
