Chapter 4 - Episode 4 : Let the interview begin!

It's been a week since Vessel ran into the forest. He finally arrived at the top of his list of goals. But he couldn't help but panic. Interviews that were not posted in advertisements or job procedures will begin.

"Wait, this wasn't in the process!"

After saying so, he saw a paper at the entrance of the company asking him to wait in front of the interview room. The writing on the paper seemed to have been scrawled by someone. Reading the short article, he was thrown into confusion.

'An interview... '

Vessel was an Android built for a purpose. He had never been interviewed, nor had he ever been examined for documents. He first learned today that he had to work hard to get a job. The fact didn't come to him well.

'Will I able to make it?'

He didn't think he could do well in the interview. He was disappointed because he thought he could join the group without any problem.

'Do, do I have to go back?'

If he did something wrong, he had to go back to where he ran away. Despite such anxiety, he maintained his posture. He didn't want to look weak. And the thought that he should look confident lingered in he's head.

'Confidence. It's a situation where you need one even if you don't have one.'

He went to the place where the interview was held.

The people who came first were sitting on chairs waiting. The paper, apparently scrawled by someone, said they would hire two full-time employees. But there were three people waiting, including Vessel.

'Why are there more? I thought no one join this company anymore.'

You might think 'only three people?'. However, it was unexpected for a company on the border of bankruptcy.

They thought no one would apply. However, contrary to expectations, more people applied. Most employees even did not write down the schedule for hiring new employees on their calendars.

The representative managers, who were in a hurry, were embarrassed to greet applicants who were looking for them. Then he decided to select two people through interviews.

'It's a mess.'

Vessel maintained her posture and looked at the people sitting next to her.

On one side was a man with white skin like snow and a face that was unknown whether he was a teenager or a young man. Unlike Vessel, he looked comfortable. He was wearing a comfortable T-shirt and jeans.

'Is interviewing that comfortable?'

Vessel was envious of him with a smile. At the same time, I wondered if I could get a job in that position.

On the other side, there was a human being who could be characterized by a hooked nose. I don't know if he's stiff.

I was stretching in my seat.

He was dressed very comfortably, too. He was wearing a red tank top and gray rubber band pants. It seemed like he was working out at the gym.

'I guess it supposed to be comfortable.'

Thanks to the clothes and posture of the people sitting next to each other, Vessel thought he could stay comfortable. He didn't think it was because the company "didn't mention neat clothes." He seemed to be getting more and more stable as time.

It was about 10 minutes after he sat down. The door of the room, which used to be the sound of pulling a desk, chair, and occasional murmuring, finally opened.

The person who opened the door returned to his seat before the applicants could see him. The wind left the applicants in confusion, not knowing what to do.

'Why aren't you giving me orders?'

Especially, Vessel, who was accustomed to receiving orders, moved more cluttered than the other two. No matter how much he came to a new place with a new heart, he could not break his old habits.

"Huh? Aren't you coming in?"

The person who opened the door was embarrassed by the behavior of the three people walking around without entering the room. He noticed the boss kicking his tongue next to him. And he quickly called them to come in.

'Opening the door was a sign to come in.'

Vessel was ashamed and thought the same thing to rationalize himself. He kept feeling shy for no reason. Of course, he didn't know what the feeling was. He just thought his face was a little hot and uncomfortable.

The three people, who finally noticed the given signal, went into the room one by one. The pure white man who was killing time proudly went in first. Next was Vessel's turn.

"Can head, get in there."

Next was a human being who was angry with Vessel to get in quickly. He pushed Vessel's back hard. Being annoyed looked just like Lilac.

'Why are the people I meet full of anger?'

He made a hypothesis that he thought was strange. And he erased that very data. It was because when someone hacked into his memory, he or she could find something like this. He didn't know why, but he thought he couldn't stand this information when others saw it. The problem is he didn't know what he couldn't stand.

Having been pushed in, he was only able to see the interviewers after settling between the two. Three men were waiting for them in there.

'Three applicants and three interviewers.'

At one end, a man with a shiny black rip-off hair was looking up and down at everyone. There was no change in his expression and there seemed to be no interest in the current situation. As if he had a lot of work to do, he was writing something with a pad even at the moment of the interview. He added a separate keyboard to the pad for a more comfortable task. From the look of it, he seemed to have a lot of work on writing documents.

'Hmm... wouldn't it be easier for me to organize my files if I added a keyboard?'

Looking at his fast typing speed, Vessel thought uselessly, "Should I add a keyboard myself?"

On the other side, a soft-looking man was coloring his body pink. He was looking at the volunteers with a slightly sad look. He was bored, so he was giving his chin to the back of his hand. Curiously, the softness that spreads from his depths was maintained no matter what posture he took.

"It looks as if it's fancy and not fancy at the same time.'

Vessel was admiring his natural tenderness. He thought it was fascinating to see the undecorated appearance. Seeing the people standing next to each other, they seemed to be thinking the same thing.

'Is everyone thinking the same thing?'

The other two were actually thinking differently. A pure white man named Winter Late had this idea.

'My brother, he must be working right now.'

He was impatient to see his brother working for this company. The reason why he applied for this company was because of his older brother.

Meanwhile, a man named David Wood who had a bent nose had this idea.

'Is that guy over there, Is he gay?'

He was not homophobic. However, he wanted to know the other person's personality for sure. He thought it was essential to know about the other person in order to be considerate of the other person.

'I can't ask now. It'll be weird.'

He was curious about the pink man, but he thought he couldn't ask. It was because he had to interview and he was in a position of being in a position called "B" instead of "A".

The remaining one was a man who sat two interviewers on both sides like a bodyguard. He sat with his arms around him and looked as if the world were all his own. His arrogant expression and posture made others uncomfortable.

'I think other interviewers are uncomfortable because the boss is like that.'

Vessel felt sorry for the two seemingly uncomfortable interviewers. However, the two interviewers felt sorry for the applicants.

'Winter is still young, he could study a little more and go somewhere better.'

A pink man named Lucas Shine felt particularly sorry for Winter. He was more inclined to him because he was acquainted with Winter.

'Why did these people come here out of so many companies?'

A black-haired man named Michael Wings was worried about something else. Through this strange interview, he could see the hardships of those who passed and would work.

"It's not as good as I am, but..."

He also thought it was because he had gone through such a process. He went through quite a lot before becoming the president's secretary. And after he became a secretary, he was going through more trouble.

'If I tell these people to run away, will they run away?'

Recalling the difficult situations, he wanted to yell at the applicants to run away. However, even if they said so, the applicants did not seem to run away.

'Let's hurry up and go home already.'

The president, named James Baker Jr, wanted to go home and play games. He was the son of the first president to set up the company. He was not interested in the company's economic situation nor in the lack of manpower. He was only interested in his rich father's money and trying to seduce a pretty woman.
