CHAPTER START------

---City of Orario, Sunset, Outside 'The Vintage Harvest'...

A young man could be seen standing 6ft tall wearing a light blue short-sleeved shirt and long black pants as well as black shoes on his feet. His hair was well-groomed and his head moved as if on a swivel as he constantly looked left to right. As he made eye contact with an older man who was walking alongside a plain-looking woman who was at his sided walking arm in arm as their children, a 12yo boy and 4yo girl who were animated in their actions as they spoke excitedly gesturing wildly as they walked. The family was not overly well dressed but their clothes were clearly well kept and spotless. The man and his wife had similar matching dark green clothes on whilst the younger boy wore a dark red outfit as his sister wore bright yellow clothes.

Yang: "Hey Torbin, had a good day at the market I hope."

Torbin: "Good evening Yang, yeah same as usual there. Let me introduce my family. This is my lovely wife Norryn, you've already met my son Tobin and this here is my princess, Norra."

Yang: "Well it's a pleasure to meet all of you, and to see you two again. How about we continue at our table inside."

As the family and Yang were quickly ushered to their reserved table for the evening they all sat as they began to converse once more. The restaurant was clearly a more high-end establishment with fine cutlery and glasses set out on each table as soft music could be heard from the violinist on the small in-house stage.

Norryn(Tibor's Wife): "Wow, honestly I didn't think I'd ever have a meal in here. When Tibor told me I half thought it was a bad joke."

Yang: "They saved my life, this is the very least I could do, don't you agree."

Tibor: "Just doing what anyone else would have done in that situation."

Yang: "Well either way I'm grateful. Honestly, I've only been training and fighting since I got to Orario so this is a good break, well not much of a break since I'm flying back down into the dungeon tomorrow."

As Yang finished speaking the young girl at the table finally decided to speak up.

Norra(Tibor's Daughter): "Flying man!"

Yang: "Uh, yeah that was me earlier. Did you see me?"

To his question, she responded by quickly nodding repeatedly.

Yang: "Hehe, yeah well flying is not all I can do."

As he was speaking Yang placed his hand on the empty plate in front of the girl and channeled his magic into his hand, 'CREATE WATER'. Slowly water filled the plate before taking the form of a couple performing ballroom dances on the girl's plate. This gesture surprised everyone at his table and even some people on other tables who saw it. Norra was the most entranced as her large eyes were fixed on the dancing figures.

Yang: "Oh it looks like our food is here. Let's eat."

As everyone began eating in silence and enjoying the food for a moment it was Tibor who broke the silence and spoke up.

Tibor: "So the rumors say you killed a dragon down there and you leveled up. That for real?"

Yang: "Yup, got confirmation from the guild and everything. Hephaestus says it's another record."

Tibor: "You really are something else, makes me all the happier that I helped you find your way here. You heading back into the dungeon already to fight some more?"

Yang: "Nah I need to wait for Hephaestus to get my gear ready so I've got some training to do. The 18th floor has a lake so I'm gonna use it to train."

Tibor: "Well don't let your records go to your head ok kid. Having an ego can cause problems in your line of work, don't forget that."

Yang: "Yeah that's not something you've got to worry about. 1 too many close calls and all that to keep me humble."

Tibor: "Well I'm just glad you made it back."

Tobin(Tibor's Son): "What's the dragon-like. I've seen them in pictures but what's it like?"

As the young boy spoke, he was almost scolded by his mother for asking what could have been taken as a rude question before Yang promptly responded.

Yang: "Well, it was blue and not that big. The guild said it was young. It was about the size of this room with big wings. Also, it could breathe this." Yang holds his hand out and small sparks of lightning element gather in his palm before they dissipate, "Let's just say dragons definitely earn their strong reputation. Lost some gear in that fight and beat me so bad before I won that I had to skip fighting the goliath on the next floor. Got me to Level 3 though, so I guess you have to take the good with the bad right."

Tobin(Tibor's Son): "Ooooooh. I wanna fight dragons too, I'm gonna be a strong adventurer!"

As his words were heard there was only silence at the table as his mother glared at Yang. Noticing her glare Yang quickly decided to speak up.

Yang: "Tobin. Look, being an adventurer is easy and lots of people don't just wake up and decided to be one. From what I gather lots of people do it because it's all they have really. Just stay with your family. I'm sure they'd be sad if you got hurt."

Tobin: "Mmmm, alright."

Yang: "Good kid. Now let's get dessert yeah."

Tobin & Norra: "YEAH!"

Eventually, the group finished up their meal and parted ways as Yang quickly went back to the tower to plan his training for the next week.

In his room in the tower, he took out a small book and his pencil as he began to list all the things he wanted to try out while he was training. Eventually, however, his thoughts were preoccupied with making other plans.

'Hmm, where should I take Lefiya for our date? I guess the same restaurant is good, didn't seem too fancy and the food was good so I'm sure it'll be good for a first date. Maybe I can speak to her about her team helping me get the gear I need. They offered to go to the lower floors with me anyway so it should be fine, just need to make sure Loki is on the same page. Eh, I'll deal with that when they get back here, for now, I'll just focus on getting supplies then training yeah.'

---The City of Orario, Day after Yang returns from floor 18...

Yang quickly washed up, got dressed, and walked out of his room. As he expected he noticed many people staring at him as he walked down the halls of the Tower to the adventurers market. 'Guess the word is out about what I did in the dungeon, feels kinda nice having people look at me like that'. As Yang had a smile spread across his face he walked over to the survival supplies stall and made his request.

Yang: "Hi there, I'd like to stock up on rations, please."

Vendor: "Uh, hi, didn't you buy like a year of rations already?"

Yang: "Yeah but now I've got more money, also I might have a team with me soon so better safe than sorry."

After purchasing an absurd amount of rations he quickly walked over to Sarran's forge and entered to greet his friend.

Yang: "Hey Sarran."

Sarran: "Morning Yang, heard about your trip to the dungeon. It's all anyone's been talking about all day you know."

Yang: "Yeah I figured as much with all the stares this morning, so what'd you think."

Sarran: "Not sure if you're strong or stupid. FIghting a dragon and the goliath alone. Could go either way honestly."

Yang: "I like to think I'm strong and lucky. It's not like I wasn't ready to run but you know, dragon."

Sarran: "Yeah figured as much. Hephaestus called me into her office yesterday. Told me about what she plans for your gear, should be ready by week's end after she gives me the smelted components and all that. Same order?"

Yang: "Yeah same order. See how many spares you can make too. I can put them in my storage magic and swap them if they break in a fight, had that happen to me more often than I'd like to admit in the last trip through the dungeon."

Sarran: "That's, kinda unfair. But hey it's your magic. The cost will be the same as before, you brought the materials yourself but working with denser magical components is harder. This is including the discount of course."

Yang: "Yeah it's no problem. Anything interesting I can use?"

Sarran: "Most of the things people make will either burn up from touching you or reduce your damage from what Hephaestus tells me. So sorry but all your stuff has to be custom."

Yang: "Ugh that's annoying. Well, it was good seeing you Sarran, oh, where do I get potions?"

Sarran: "Head to a pharmacy.Shouldn't be hard to find."

Yang: "Thanks, I'll see you when I get back."

Sarran: "Yeah you too, stay safe down there."

Yang quickly makes his way towards the pharmacy while ignoring all the eyes on him as he walked through the streets. Upon approaching the small humble building he quickly entered. Looking around he saw the building inside was mostly wood and there was a counter on the far wall with a blue-haired man sitting behind the counter with a smile on this face. Yang quickly approached the man and greeted him.

Yang: "Hi there, good morning, I'm here to buy some potions."

Miach: "Hi there, I'm Miach, how many potions would you like?"

Yang: "Wait, you're the god, why are you behind the counter?"

Miach: "Well I was available that's all."

Yang: "Uh-huh, ok cool so 10 potions, please."

Miach: "Um, are you sure you wouldn't rather buy some greater potions?"

Yang: "Well, hmm, I think I'd rather 10 smaller ones. It's mostly to get me moving so my magic can heal me, oh and 20 mind potions."

Hearing this order Miach's eyes brightened up a bit.

Miach: "Uh, sure just give me one moment, please."

Yang: "Sure take your time."

As Miach quickly organized the potions and completed the transaction Yang quickly exited the pharmacy and began walking to the dungeon.

Miach: 'So that's Hephaestus's new talent huh, well he seems nice enough and is good for business.'

Yang quickly stored the potions into his storage as he approached the entrance to the dungeon and paused to look around. There were small groups of adventurers gathered to begin their days in the dungeon. Taking one more look around a small smile gathered on Yang's face as he thought 'Hmm time to make some people jealous, I'll just ignore anything that I've already hunted before on the way down,3..2..1..go'.

Suddenly the air heats up at the dungeon entrance as Yang's shirt and boots disappear into his storage as flames appear from his back, hands, and under his feet thrusting him forward like a rocket into the tunnel. This sudden occurrence causes some adventurers to stare slack-jawed whilst others were lost in their jealousy and wonder. yang quickly flew down the tunnels towards the 18th floor of the dungeon to begin his training.

---Freya Familia Building, Freya's Office...

A gorgeous woman in a long white dress with most of the front exposed by a vertical tear could be seen sipping from a glass of red wine as she twirled her white hair with her free hand. The goddess Freya lays on the couch of her office as she looks out of the window and speaks. "Ottar, Hephaestus's new talented member just entered the dungeon. Have someone keep an eye on him, I want firsthand accounts of his progress". Standing at the side of the couch a tall and wide muscular figure could be seen with a massive sword on his back and his arms crossed. "Consider it done goddess." he quickly responds to her as he exits the room to find suitable persons for this task.
