CHAPTER START------
---4 Days after Yang leaves to train...
The various gods of Orario have assembled in the Denatus room for an emergency development in the dungeon. Adventuring teams have brought in new materials and consistent reports of new monsters appearing within the dungeon. This event has caused the gods to assemble for the second time in one week to decide how they should proceed.
Ganesh: "My tamers said that so far the upper floors have what seems to be just bigger variants of basic animals and occasionally a stronger enemy that should be a few floors lower will spawn but there doesn't seem to be a pattern to any of it."
Loki: "I can confirm the same thing on floors below as well. Not as many animals but seems like other types of humanoids.Everything from metal men to golems and strange cubes. Also, all sorts of creatures I've never seen before are appearing as well. They don't seem to be as restricted as other monsters but they drop materials and depending on the floor they appear on their strength matches it."
Freya: "Then it seems like the teams will need more than just bigger numbers to beat these new enemies. If they can appear on any floor with matching strength then it's best to learn how to beat them all and make diverse teams in order to compensate for the new...unpredictable, nature of the dungeon. Do we have any lead on the cause?"
Ganesh: "Nothing yet but it looks like a few treat events happened around the 18th floor safe zone yesterday so most of the stronger teams are focused on evacuating the safe zone. Once that's done and the swarms are thinned to regular dungeon numbers then we suspect the monsters should return to normal numbers. That's all my tamers came up with as we've only had a day."
Hephaestus: "That's a good lead Ganesh, your tamers have good instincts when it comes to these things so we should treat it as a guarantee and adjust accordingly. Our priority should be evacuating the safe zone first. until this crisis is settled my crafters will be working a lot more to maintain gear so inform your familias to repair their gear before they head back in the dungeon. We don't know what all the new monsters do so we can't take any unnecessary risks."
Hermes: "My familia is escorting everyone skilled in cartography to double-check the layout floor by floor, we must ensure any physical changes to the dungeon are recorded to prevent any accidents."
Demeter: "Thank you for that Hermes, I'd hate to imagine one of my children being lost in there with these new monsters appearing everywhere. I'm going to shuffle my familia teams for bigger groups with more healers until this is done. I recommend all of you do the same. I can't stand the thought of my children getting hurt in there."
As the suggestion left Demeter, all the other gods thought she was right and decided to follow her lead of re-arranging the teams their familias work in for the length of this event.
Freya: "Well then now that this meeting over, I do believe we all have much work to do. Let's get to it then."
At Freya's words, the gods went their separate ways to coordinate with their familia expedition teams and adjust their plans until the end of this event.
---5 Days since Yang began left Orario to Train
A figure could be seen with his eyes closed and arms at his side 2 ft off the ground with flames thrusting from the bottom of his bare feet. Yang had begun Swirling his flames to boost them but only enough to hover in place like he is now and even then it requires all of his focus and energy to maintain it without burning up his feet. He made progress with all of his elements but focuses the majority of his time on Fire, Wind, and Lightning as Earth and Water required too much mana for him to efficiently use in the dungeon and Cold was simply unreliable without water. It would take too much mana for him to form solid ice in his current state. His focus on only 3 had another benefit he hadn't foreseen.
When flying at high speeds in the future he would have to channel lightning through his body to sharpen his senses and his reaction time so as he hovers in mid-air he circulates lightning through his system to practice his 3 elements in one smooth exercise. This exercise trains his control and power whilst in the afternoon her spends his time practicing strikes and using his elements to add speed and force to his movements and attack whether it be by using small flam thrusters to propel his fist forward by igniting his elbows or passing lightning through his body to accelerate in combat, therefore, increasing the damage of his strikes. This works best in combination with flames on his striking points however as seen from the craters littering his training ground.
Yang: "HAHAHAHAH I CAN FLY!!" Yang shouts to the heavens before losing his balance and slamming to the ground
Yang: "Ouch, ok I need to keep focused more in the future, I'm out of mana anyway so it's time for lunch I guess."
As he saunters over to the small pond and hangs his feet into it, he sits on a rock and begins to update his training journal.
TRAINING JOURNAL ENTRY------
Flight: Hell yes but need lots of practice, takes way too much mana to sustain for long so maybe short bursts to jump?
Fire: Easiest element, using it to amplify my strikes and accelerate my body by propelling specific points like behind my elbows feels natural.
Water: Still can't make my own water for more than a palmful and it takes too much time and mana. Controlling it needs my full concentration likely because it doesn't come from my body like the easier elements.
Earth: Same as water except I can't make it and it takes even more mana to move solid earth. Maybe when I'm higher level.
Wind: Comes naturally and makes me feel lighter in combat, also helps me speed up with fire. Gusts of wind are easy enough but my wind-blades don't seem to be able to cut rocks yet. My control isn't enough and making condensed wind like that needs more mana than I can reliably spend.
Lightning: Shooting lightning is possible but takes too much mana and leaves me open as I need to stand still to build it. Using it to accelerate my body and mind in a fight is easier and safer to do in combat. A one-shot lightning bolt is fine if my enemy can't move or dodge I suppose.
Combat: I still can't use an object with my elements as too much mana is spent to coat the object so it doesn't start to take the damage from my element. It also takes all my focus so maybe I need something different for each element. My unarmed fighting is better at least, hitting harder moving faster, and amplifying my body with fire, lightning, and wind at once isn't that difficult but super mana dependant. I need to keep swords on me in case I run out of mana and stock up on mana potions. I'm also gonna have to talk to Hephaestus about elemental weapons or something.
END JOURNAL ENTRY------
As Yang was still ever excited with his magic training he was blissfully unaware of the situation in Orario caused by the new monsters. Some monsters he might even recognize but never in his life would he of expected to fight...
